The cottage sits on the Elgar Route, which is a driving route through Worcestershire, following the life and works of Edward Elgar. Walks on the Malvern Hills can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage while the town centre is just a short drive away. Take a short stroll to St Wulstan’s Nature Reserve with its beautiful woodland walks, great for dog walkers. Alternatively, visit the Three Counties Showground with plenty of events on throughout the year. Visit the riverside town of Upton-on-Severn, Ledbury with its first class restaurants or the spa town of Cheltenham famous for Gold Cup horseracing. The towns of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and the many unspoilt Cotswold towns and village also make a great day out. The Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June.
