"Arriving late we where received by the owners who showed us the property and gave us direction to shops and amenities. They had also filled the fridge with our first breakfast. What a nice surprise. So top marks for the service. The house itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay and a fully kitted kitchen. The village, Wombourne, have good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The towns and nearby Birmingham is not far away for day excursion. If you like walking the Kingswinford Railway Walk is just around the corner with connection to Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal/Cut."

"Friendly owners, very nice welcome pack much appreciated. Lovely property, beautifully finished. Loads of room in the fully fenced garden, no way for children or a dog to escape. Quiet location, the people we met while walking the dog were very nice, stopped for a chat umpteen times. Plenty of things to do, steam railway etc. Enjoyed the week we had very much."

"This really was a find. What a great cottage. Great quiet location within easy access to the village of Wombourne with its shops and pubs/restaurants. You can get to the Merry Hill shopping centre near Dudley. The city of Wolverhampton is a bus ride away. There are some really nice villages close by well worth the visit. Other places worth a look Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. The cottage itself was excellent. The owners providing for all your needs even down to the nice bottle of wine (French?) and the box of chocolates which was a very nice touch. Good Wi-Fi and parking. We cannot praise this place enough and would recommend it to all."

    - Harrison, November 2016
"We loved staying here. The bungalow was very comfortable: immaculately clean, very comfy bed and generally well equipped so there was everything we wanted to make us feel at home. In the area there is absolutely loads to see, from very pretty country walks from the immediate area (eg Bratch Locks, disused railway walks, country lanes around Wombourne and Lower Penn and further afield) to longer hikes (eg Wrekin, Malvern Hills, Ironbridge Gorge area, Kinver Edge etc) to historic visits (again eg Ironbridge area) and National Trust properties (eg Whitwick Manor, Shuborough Hall). So all in all - a great place to visit ... and that's only scratching the surface. Venture further into Shropshire and there is even more to see. Garden also very inviting, although we were at the bungalow in November ... so we'll just have to come back when it's a bit warmer! Thanks for everything, we had a great stay!"
    - Mr Tidswell, June 2017

"We had a wonderful holiday at Orton View - it was very clean and spacious in a lovely quiet position and a great garden to sit in. Very many good eating places nearby particularly liked the Woodman at Claverley for excellent Sunday lunch. The Clent Hlls and Kinver Edge beautiful views almost 360 panorama at Clent. Tettenhall smashing little village nearby. The shop Baked from Britain's Best Bakery TV programme are there. Great products and we were made very welcome by the lovely owners. David Austin Roses at Albrighton is a must see. We spent a fortune on more roses and in their gift shop but well worth it. Very good cafe - can particularly recommend the scrambled eggs. All in all a lovely holiday and we are looking forward to returning. Many thanks "
Mrs Jackie Verbaan, Clacton on Sea, Essex

    Mrs Shirley Morrison, Witham, Essex
"For us, the bungalow was perfect in a nice peaceful location with lovely neighbours. The garden was superb being so enclosed we could let our dog roam about to his hearts content without having to worry about him escaping. Also the surrounding area has lovely places to walk if you have a dog especially along the canals and the Severn Valley railway country park. Overall we would say it was well worth the visit."
