"It was a fantastic holiday. Great accommodation and wonderful location."
    Mr Watkins
"Rose Cottage had all the essential modern facilities that most people would expect, whilst still retaining the unique character of a traditional country cottage. It is situated in a very good location for visiting a number of interesting towns and villages in Wiltshire and surrounding counties."
    Mrs Edwards
"This cottage was perfect for multi age occupancy, our ages ranged from 1 to 79 ! There was everything provided for children and babies also with different reception rooms for oldies to retire to. Perfect location with wonderful pub just down the road. Amazing garden."
    Mr Oconnor
"The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything that one might require. All was clean & very comfortable. The elaborate planting of the garden areas was both a joy to the eye as well as ensuring privacy. The 4 bedrooms meant we had various relatives to stay for varying short periods who we would have been unable to see during such a fully planned fortnight. It was interesting to be able to see what life could be like in a such a "Chocolate Box Village" as Berwick St. James for the relatively small percentage of the UK population who could afford the (presumably very high) local property prices - many residents either had a Mercedes-Benz set of wheels parked kerbside or an immaculately clean & shiny large 4WD which seemed unlikely ever to leave the black-top."
    Mrs Earl, Devon
"The pictures do not do this cottage justice. We were completely taken aback when we arrived. The garden and setting in particular are truly beautiful. The owners have tried to think of everything you could possibly need and are friendly and welcoming. We will be back."
    Mrs Aurora Davis, Singapore,
"Rose Cottage is great, everything we needed was provided for in the cottage, nothing was forgotten! We had a cosy and comfortable stay. Was perfect for our kids....toys for them to play with, high chair, kids cutlery and utensils, etc. peaceful and quiet village, exactly what we wanted. "
    Rev Van Den Dool
"The house is beautifully decorated. The welcome was very friendly. The garden lies on three sides around the house. There are beautiful flowers. There is much opportunity to sit. There is a nice small orchard and for smaller children there is some playground equipment. In the wider vicinity are famous historic landmarks such as Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, and Wilton House."
    Mrs Sarah Dunleavy, Willetton,
"We had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. It was fully equipped with everything, even umbrellas to use. It was quiet and relaxing and we had some lovely afternoon teas in the garden. It is a great location to explore Wiltshire, we would definitely recommend to anyone."
    Mr Groot
"Beautiful cottage with beautiful surroundings for walking."
    Mrs Sheila Wilson, Worksop, Nottinghamshire
"Rose Cottage was situated in a lovely village with lots of surrounding places to visit and close to Stonehenge. I loved the wildlife in the garden, a very peaceful place to be. Loved the cottage and the welcoming we had, table laid and cups out ready very nice touches, even the bug hotel in the garden really well thought out by the owners. Would highly recommend to others. Cottage so charming and beautiful, people will love staying there."
    Mr Stephen Anderson, London, London
"We had a great time at this beautiful cottage. It was immaculately kept and the owner had clearly thought of everything that was needed to the very last detail. We particularly loved the lounge which was so cosy and being a stone cottage it really kept the warmth in. The location is beautiful and there was plenty of space in the garden areas to relax and take in the countryside. We will definitely be going again."
    Ms Stella Morton, Liverpool, Merseyside

"We loved Rose Cottage overall. The owner was there to welcome us, show us about the property and give us some tips on places to eat and visit with children. The cottage was well located and had everything we needed. We are nearing the end of seven weeks in Europe and the UK, and having stayed in a total of eleven cottages/apartments, this is one of the very best! We would loved to have stayed longer."
    Mr Colin Jarman, Cardiff, Caerdydd
"The cottage was beautiful with absolutely everything you could think of provided for our comfort. The garden was stunning, and the owner's father who welcomed us was very pleasant and helpful. We hope to book this cottage again, I can't think of any way it could be improved!"

"The cottage had absolutely everything in it, was like I had taken my own kitchen utensils! A lot of little touches made it stand out. It was in a quiet location yet not too far from shops."
    Mr Geoffrey Spanner, Northampton, Northamptonshire
"In a fabulous location, easy to get to places of interest. The cottage has plenty of room and is very comfortable with ample supplies of everything - it has the lot! There is a well stocked farm shop within a 5minute walk selling superb local meat, cheeses, bread etc. The local pub is just a few minutes away and makes a change if you don't fancy cooking. Lots of wild birds in the garden and there are Ravens nesting in the woods beyond the river which made their presence felt with their croaking."

    Mrs Helen Page, Thatcham, Berkshire
"Just loved it. Radios and alarm clocks in bedrooms - never seen these offered before in rented accommodation. Quiet. Easy access to Salisbury and Stonehenge. 12th century church almost next door. Sheep and alpacas in nearby fields. Boot Inn does good food. I wanted a quiet relaxing break with friends and that's what we got!"
    Grannynetnet
"We found Rose Cottage to be very well equipped for a lovely family stay. Great attention has been given to equipment needed. The kitchen is quite small and the downstairs rooms were smaller than expected. Bedrooms were a good size with comfortable beds. Bathroom with separate w.c. both good. The garden is a very pretty, typical cottage garden and contained for children. The off road parking is good. The village and road is very quiet. Pub within walking distance and excellent farm shop even closer. A warm welcome from the owner was given on arrival. We were a family of four adults, one child 5 years and one child 19 months and this property was more than adequate. It was an ideal base for touring Wiltshire."
    Mrs V Geach, St. Austell,
"A very comfortable cosy cottage in very quiet location. It was very well equipped with an enclosed garden safe for children. Good off road parking and a good touring base."
    Helen R
"I stayed at Rose Cottage with my partner, my parents and our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. The location is perfect for Salisbury (10 minute drive from the nearest park and ride) and a 10 minute drive from stone henge. It is in a small village with a farm shop selling pies, cakes and vegetables and a pub called the Boot Inn that had a wide selection of lunches and evening meals. However, the shop was shut on Monday, our day of arrival. The cottage itself is gorgeous, just as I would imagine a cottage to be. The front garden is perfectly cared for. However, we took a miniature dog with us and he could have got out of the garden between the trees or through the gate. Not a problem as we had taken his extender lead with us so kept him on that. The family have thought of everything! They had a doggy cupboard with a selection of items for dogs - and had even provided the details of the nearest vets. Everything you could possibly need and more was provided. Child gate, hand washes with every sink, tissues, drinking straws, spare serviettes and plentiful cutlery are just a few of the items we were surprised to find. The family had also provided lots of information about the surrounding area, including tourists leaflets, local magazines and a list of the closest supermarkets with postcodes. The finishing touches were also perfect. The dinning table had already been laid and there were little teddy bears on every bed. This is our first cottage experience, and we felt the cottage was deserving of a four star rating rather than the three stars it had been given. It was a perfect place to stay and we would most definitely look to stay here again if we wanted a holiday in this area."
Mrs Ruth Smyth, Newry, County Down
"Beautifully kept property, well presented. Perfect holiday retreat."
