The property's well-maintained gardens and the attentive nature of the hosts, Colin and Clare, are frequently mentioned. The cottage's charm and the thoughtful touches, such as homemade jams and a generous welcome pack, contribute to a memorable and relaxing stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers unanimously commend the property for its spotless condition and the owners' dedication to maintaining high hygiene standards, especially during the pandemic.

The property is celebrated for its peaceful and beautiful countryside setting, with easy access to local attractions and amenities, though the exact distance from various points of interest is not consistently detailed.

The comfort of the cottage is highly rated, with guests finding the accommodation restful and the beds comfortable. The only minor note is the mention of a 'narrow' bathroom, which prevents a perfect score.

Facilities and maintenance are praised, with the property being well-equipped and tastefully furnished. The presence of a log burner and well-stocked kitchen are appreciated, although the mention of a 'tricky' spiral staircase suggests a slight deduction.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is highlighted through mentions of welcome packs and homemade jams. While these gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a great time. It’s on 3 floors. The ground floor is a well equipped kitchen. The second floor is a nice lounge, with a log burning stove. The bedroom is a mezzanine above. The shower room off it is small but adequate. The bedroom is also small but with a decent sized comfortable bed. The building seems to retain its heat and was snug. The spiral staircase is a little tricky to negotiate, particularly with a case. The TV has Freeview stations, but nothing more. Colin the owner was so helpful & pleasant, and Clare’s jam and marmalade were delicious.

Colin could not have been more welcoming or helpful, and Care's home made marmalade was as good as we hoped. A perfect romatic hideaway for two. The kitchen was particularly well appointed, which is not always the case, and was a real bonus as I like to ciik.

This is our second stay there and we would be happy to stay again and again! The place feels very peaceful and tranquil. This is a true delight in any time of the year and any weather!
