A former Gamekeeper’s lodge for the farm, Lavender Cottage has been beautifully renovated to a superb standard, now providing welcoming and cosy accommodation for six guests.

Surrounded by farmland to one side and woodland to the other, the views from the cottage and garden are magnificent, and sightings of wildlife abundant. Ramblers will be spoilt for choice from several pretty rural walks right from the doorstep; or if you prefer to enjoy the fresh air relaxing, take a seat from the various options in the pretty cottage garden, where you can enjoy a morning coffee, a glass of wine in the evening, or fire up the barbecue for an alfresco lunch overlooking miles of rolling Cotswold countryside.

Step inside the spacious and beautifully furnished cottage, where the majority of the living space occupies the ground floor with the exception of a twin bedroom on the lower ground floor. The kitchen is generous, well-equipped and opens out into the garden – perfect for a sociable entertaining space. The separate dining room leads through to the cosy sitting room complete with a roaring open fire and a Smart television; ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring the Cotswolds. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms, both benefitting from stunning views of the farmed fields to the front aspect of the property. One bedroom features a king-size bed, whilst the second has a double bed, and and enjoys its own en-suite wash basin and wc. The large family bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower, and you will be treated to local Cotswold Aromatherapy toiletries.

Lavender Cottage is situated on the outskirts of the delightful Warwickshire village of Long Compton, nestling at the bottom of a valley and ideally situated close to the border of Oxfordshire, between the bustling market towns of Shipston-on-Stour and Chipping Norton. The local village pub, The Red Lion, is under two miles away, dog friendly and provides a variety of freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients; and children can enjoy the outdoor play area. Whilst located in a peaceful and tranquil village, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds, with easy access to many of the key Cotswold destinations; see just a few of our suggestions below.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Please note, the garden is on several levels and is not fully enclosed. Young children and dogs will need to be supervised at all times.
