Acorn Cottage is one of three converted barns situated around a traditional farm style courtyard. Nestling between the beautiful Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, enjoy beautiful views across the Malvern Hills. With many countryside walks from the doorstep and yet only a five minute drive to Ross-on-Wye with all its pubs, restaurants and shops, Acorn Cottage is the ideal bolthole for couples or friends to enjoy the rolling green county of Herefordshire.
Acorn Cottage and Rivington Barn are a delightful pair of converted barns in a beautiful countryside location, a short distance from the scenic market town of Ross-on Wye. Both cottages can also be booked together as Little Howle Farm sleeping six guests.
Enter into the cosy 'up-side down' cottage where, just off the entrance hallway is the spacious bedroom with a king-size bed (also available as twin single beds on request) along with its generous en-suite bathroom boasting a double ended bath and a separate walk-in shower. Beautiful linens, and fluffy towels complement the tasteful furnishings. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area provide a welcoming cosy space to relax after a day of exploring, and cook up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen.
To the front of the cottage, relax on the patio area, with a table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or warmer evenings. Behind the barns is a large, shared lawned area with a barbecue, fire pit and a sun terrace at the top. Boasting views over the Malvern Hills with very little light pollution, the terrace is perfect for star gazing.

Well equipped and generous welcome pack. Clean. Small living and kitchen but cosy. Large bathroom, extractor fan inadequate for space. Communication between Rural Retreats and owner was poor. . .we had to chase to find out how to access the property as the owner was not aware of our booking.
