A beautiful detached modern cottage ideally located just minutes’ walk from the centre of the Warwickshire village of Welford-on-Avon, five miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. Elegantly furnished throughout to provide light and airy, contemporary accommodation, the cottage is ideal for a family get-together or weekend away with friends. As you step into the cottage you get a sense of the quality and style the property offers with four individually styled bedrooms, dressed with quality bed linen ensuring a good night's sleep for all guests. The master has the added benefit of en-suite facilities. The superb, well-equipped kitchen provides a dining area to seat all guests as well as a comfy sofa for three or why not light the fire in the sitting room and relax in front of your favourite film? On a summer's evening the doors from the sitting room to the garden can be swung open and guests can enjoy the delights of alfresco dining or a refreshing early evening drink before heading out to the local pub to sample the excellent home-cooked food on offer. Across the road from the property is the local golf course, for those who wish to practise their swing. Many walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage with Shakespeare's Avon Way, Heart of England Way and The Greenway walk and cycle route all passing close by. Welford-on-Avon is a typically English village with local shop, an award-winning butcher, ideal for stocking up for BBQs, three traditional pubs and a village green complete with maypole, all nestling on the banks of the River Avon. Just five miles away you can enjoy the ancient town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, together with the Roman market towns of Alcester and Chipping Campden. There are many lovely walks and cycle routes, numerous National Trust properties, excellent golf courses, award-winning restaurants, microbreweries and many farm shops selling fresh, local produce. A superb base whatever you choose to do.

Stratford-upon-Avon is famous the world over for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the historic town is home to the world renowned Royal Shakespeare Company. This beautiful Warwickshire town on the banks of the River Avon is rich in history and culture, and visitors can explore Olde England at Shakespeare's birthplace and his family's former 16th century residences with their stunning Tudor grounds and gardens. History buffs will also love the National Trust properties around the area. Stratford offers great shops, pubs, restaurants and bars, and Warwick and Cotswold villages such as Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold are easily accessible for a relaxing day out.
