Riverside House is a delightful riverside retreat on the banks of the River Avon. Set within the pretty village of Bidford-on-Avon, both Shakespeake's Stratford-upon-Avon and the North Cotswolds are within easy reach.
Situated on the edge of the River Avon is Riverside House, a delightful three bedroom semi-detached house with lovely views of the river. The original part of the house is believed to date from the 1650s. The house was extended in 1947 to create a spacious home featuring beautiful river views from nearly every room including the bedrooms, kitchen, sitting and dining rooms.
Riverside House has a large, south-facing garden that runs alongside the river. The terrace with garden furniture is perfect for outdoor dining while watching the world go by. The River Avon is a popular river route for narrowboats and several will be moored along the river bank by Riverside House. There’s also a small boat yard near the house where narrowboats can be hired for the day if you are feeling adventurous.
This delightful holiday home is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac in the large village of Bidford-upon-Avon which boasts a friendly community and has an array of shops and pubs in walking distance. There’s also a 26 acre riverside meadow open all year round for walkers and is an ideal spot for a picnic.

The house was lovely, and a beautiful location. I would love to go back in warm weather. However, there are lots of stairs, so if stairs are an issue, be aware. The owners provided basics, like milk and eggs, and treats. They also provided soaps, shampoo, etc. I will defiantly try to book again!

Perfect location, beautiful riverside garden. Beautiful spacious well equipped house, everything you need, very clean, great welcome hamper. Garden perfect for relaxing in and watching activity on water. Lots of places to visit nearby and lovely walks from house. Julie really helpful. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely go back

This is a lovely house in a most beautiful setting on the Avon River. The house is well-appointed and maintained. My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and welcomed a revolving cast of friends and family. Ms. Bidwell welcomed us and answered any questions we had. The daily traffic and wildlife on the river were entertaining, and the folks in the boatyard and longboats were most congenial. Riverside House is a 10-minute walk from two fine pubs and an excellent restaurant, and the Co-op across the main road stocks pretty much anything you could want. I can't imagine a better setting for a holiday with family or friends!
