Vernon Court is a bright and well furnished apartment with some of the best views in Torquay. Set close to the seafront and town, you’ll be in the ideal location if you want to explore Torbay.
When you step into the apartment, you’ll be welcomed into the spacious open plan living and dining area finished with leather sofas, a flatscreen TV and large windows showcasing those breathtaking views. The living area leads through to the contemporary kitchen, equipped with everything needed to whip up a feast, and the breakfast bar is ideal for grabbing a bite to eat on the go.
The apartment also has two comfortable bedrooms and two modern bathrooms, so if you’ve had a tiring day exploring the local area, you’ll be able to come home and unwind in a relaxing environment.
When you feel like getting out and about, there is a path leading directly from Vernon Court down to the beach. With cafés and restaurants as well as water sports hire and miniature golf, you could easily lose a day here alone. If you want to venture into town for a spot of shopping or a meal out, the town centre and harbour are within easy strolling distance.

...the entrance. A rusting gate followed by a very depressing flight of steps down to the front door which is shared with another flat. The very grubby-looking red-painted steps and cream-painted walls had more than their fair share of dirt and cob-webs making us wonder if we were about to find out we had made a big mistake booking this place. Entering the front door, there was a very musty smell in the gloomy shared entrance hall. Once inside our own front door however, the feeling changed completely. A further hall-way, with a built-in cupboard containing a washing machine and tumble-drier, led into a very well-equipped kitchen, conveniently laid out with masses of drawer and cupboard space, a fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave oven and dish-washer. The drawers contained ample supplies of cutlery, etc. The cupboards contained plenty of glassware, china and cleaning products. A window overlooked the lounge/dining room giving views through to the outer windows and beyond. A door led from the kitchen to the lounge/dining room which again, was well equipped with DVDs, CDs, books, TV, leather sofa and chair, dining-table and chairs. The crowning glory was the stunning view through the windows over the bay towards Paignton, Brixham and Berry Head. The bedrooms were also well-served with built-in furniture. The double bedroom had an en-suite bathroom. The twin bedroom had a bathroom next to the bedroom. One criticism was the broken vertical blind in the twin bedroom but didn't really affect us as we used the double. Anyone using this flat should be aware of the position in relation to the sea-front and town. It is at the top of the cliff overlooking the sea front which can be reached on foot by walking back to Shedden Hill. That route can also be used to get to the town but a shorter route is via a series of 200+ steps down to the harbour! On arrival we thought that the on-street car-parking might be a problem but each time we went out we were able to park within no more than 25 yards when we returned. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this flat and the few problems mentioned above were small compared to the pleasure we had during our stay. Submitted by Tony on 23/03/2016

...never seen so much wardrobe and storage space in bedrooms.One of our party was to be found at every opportunity sitting in an armchair by the window enjoying the view. We found all that we required in the kitchen and throughout the apartment. The only small problem was parking on the road, as sometimes we had to drive around the block 2 or 3 times before a space could be found.
