Today, Torquay has some good restaurants shops and cafes, and the vibrant waterfront with its marina and harbour is a must where you can stroll along the palm-lined promenade and visit the seafront gardens. Whether you’re a couple looking for a relaxing break or a family with children to entertain, there’s something for everyone. The model village at Babbacombe (2 miles) is delightful to walk around… feel like a giant as you carefully tread the tiny streets. Nearby Paignton Zoo (5.5 miles) is well regarded for its wildlife conservation efforts with an impressive collection of wildlife including a komodo dragon! Further afield, head inland and explore the Dartmoor National Park (16 miles) with its tors and myriad of walking trails.
