… in a quiet valley alongside a leafy lane on the edge of the rural hamlet of Blagdon, a mile from Collaton St Mary, two lovely cottages (of four), just right for a family holiday where adults can relax and children can run and splash to their hearts’ content. The cottages all share grounds, a splendid outdoor solar heated swimming pool (34' x 18' x 4' deep; available 10am to 6pm from May to September, weather permitting) with sunbathing terrace (loungers), sauna (coin meter), laundry room (coin-operated washing machine/tumble drier) and bicycle store. These two near identical cottages are next door to each other, convenient for two families holidaying together, and overlook the swimming pool. Inside, they are spacious, decorated in neutral tones and well furnished.
Ivy Cottage: small patio (picnic table) and French windows to light, bright and family-friendly open-plan living/dining/kitchen (slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker with gas hob) with tiled floor (rugs) and TV/DVD. Stairs up to two smart bedrooms – a double, and a twin. Bathroom (suite, shower over bath).

"A lovely cottage in a very quiet spot. Property was lovely and bright, clean and fresh, standard of furnishings was very comfortable. It was a lovely touch to arrive to a cream tea and a loaf of bread for breakfast. Piers was very amiable and looked after us and the swimming pool very well indeed. It was great to come home to use the pool each afternoon, very popular with our son. There were lots of supermarkets close by and we found lots of interesting places to eat out. There are many lovely safe beaches to visit, as well as castles and interesting NT properties. The steam railway to Dartmouth made a good day out and the crazy golf in Paignton is the best we've found anywhere!"

"This is a very relaxing and quiet location but also very close to everything such as supermarkets and places of interest. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the pool is well maintained. Piers and Helen are very good hosts and would definitely recommend staying at Blagdon House Cottages. ."
