...didn't want to go back home. We weren't sure what time we would arrive but Sue was still around and made us really welcome. We were left with some biscuits and a bottle of wine in the lounge and some Elementary s toiletries in the bedroom along with large fluffy white bath towels. The furnishings were quite contemporary with some hints of traditional and the mixture worked really well. The kitchen was stocked with a great collection of all the usual things you would find at home but not necessarily in a holiday let. Two good sofas in the lounge area with a large TV and BOSE sound bar (can see a trip to our BOSE shop on the horizon). The bedroom was beautiful but a slight shame the boiler is situated in a corner. As previous people have said the bed was fabulous and comfy but the pillows were slightly lumpy (we both freely admit we are very picky about what pillows we have). The bathroom was very good and the shower magnificent. Overall we had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay and the accommodation. We will be returning in the future I am certain. 5 star platinum is certainly right. One last thing I never did see a timer for the heating. Submitted by David on 05/02/2016

...needed somewhere to stay for a few days so we could combine the visit with meeting friends. 16 Manor House was a perfect venue as it was close to everywhere we needed to be. The rain was lashing down when we arrived and the apartment was an oasis in the midst of a full blown gale. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Submitted by John on 01/02/2016

...location which is centrally located between Torquay and Paignton, so it is an ideal base. We mainly used our train and bus passes to get around and both the bus stops and the train station are just a ten minute walk away. The apartment itself had all the facilities we needed and once inside after a day out it was pleasant to just relax and chill out. Even the weather was kind to us - it only rained heavily on Friday but we still managed to get out, although in the car this time. Talking of car use, we did find the traffic at Torquay and Paignton and the approaches to these towns to be exceptionally heavy, and this was not helped by the roadworks on the dual carriageway into Torquay, but getting around on public transport did mean we could get about without the added problem of the car. Recommended visits would be the two Dart Valley Railways, Dartmouth, Teignmouth and Dawlish, Trago Mills, The House of Marbles, Brixham and Totnes. Submitted by John on 27/07/2015
