Cockington village, one of the oldest settlements in the area, is nearby, where you can indulge in a cream tea in one of the historic, original thatched houses. You will also find Cockington Court, where  you can enjoy craft exhibitions and demonstrations, or simply relax in the extensive grounds.

The recently refurbished, medieval monastery Torre Abbey, is also nearby provides excellent insight into Torquay's history as well as housing some fabulous seasonal exhibitions.
