Overview

A beautiful retreat for any family or couple, situated in the wonderful harbour town of Brixham. "The Cove" is a brand new developement of superior holiday apartments, with outstanding and stunning sea views. The development is located overlooking Fishcombe Cove and has direct access to the secluded beach. "The Cove" is also situated next to the South West Coastal Path and is about 10 to 15 minutes walk in to the charming harbour town of Brixham which has a varied and wide choice of shops and restaurants. The coastal path in the opposite direction leads through National Trust woodlands.  Enjoy the peaceful surroundings - take a walk in the nearby Battery Gardens or explore the South West Coastal Path. If you prefer water activities, you can swim, paddle a canoe or go fishing in Fishcombe Cove, directly below your apartment. Look out for the seals basking in the sunshine in the Cove.

Dunlin 3 is a modern ground floor 2 bedroom family apartment with a full width patio from which to enjoy the breathtaking sea views over Fishcombe Cove and out to Torbay. There is direct access to the large patio area from the lounge and the double bedroom, both of which offer stunning views. The apartment has a double and twin bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, living area with stunning sea views leading to the patio with dining table and chairs. A selection of rattan furniture is also availble for you to relax in. To the rear of the property is a large locked storage area, ideal for bikes & kayaks etc. The owners provide free unlimited Wi-Fi for your use.  Guests also have the use of an outdoor swimming pool between May-September and a designated parking space. There is a shop, cafe and bar a few minutes away.

Please be aware that the swimming pool will be closed from 17th September 2016 for the winter.

KitchenA very well equipped modern kitchen to suit all your culinary needs with a range of contemporary kitchen units and  a full compliment of fitted appliances including a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, washer/dryer etc.

Living/DiningA bright and open plan living area with table seating for four people. There is also one 3 seater sofa and a reclining chair with matching footstool and a coffee table. For your entertainment there is large flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player, DAB radio and an Ipod docking station. The sea views from the whole of this modern luxury apartment are exquisite. SleepingThe apartment has a double and twin bedroom with bed linen and towels being included. The double has access to the balcony via patio doors, double bed with matching bedside tables and lamps and built in wardrobe, a wall-mounted flatscreen tv and ipod docking system.  Second bedroom consists of full-size twin beds and a built in wardrobe, wall-mounted flatscreen tv/dvd combi and an ipod docking system. BathroomThis family bathroom is fully tiled with a modern white suite consisting of a bath and shower over, wash basin with illuminated mirror, wc and a heated towel rail. OutsideThe property is accessed by a private staircase to the patio which expands the whole width of the apartment. For those al-fresco moments there is a selection of rattan sofas and chairs to enjoy the warm sunny mornings along with the spectacular views. ParkingThere is allocated parking for one car nearby on site and it is possible to pull up nearby to the property and unload luggage.

    A very relaxed week in a home from home apartment! <br />The apartment is very well designed and furnished, everything we wanted in a holiday home. We had two minor plumbing problems but both were put right within hours of reporting them- well done to the plumber! The site is well located on the outskirts of Brixham with a very pleasant wooded walk into town. We also walked into Paignton. I think the swimming pool area could be more imaginative, perhaps changing room, loungers etc. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we rarely return to the same place this site might tempt us! ??

    A relaxing, peaceful and comfortable break <br />Dunlin 3 is a very comfortable apartment with a lovely decked terrace which has views out to sea and Torbay. It is beautifully furnished, and very well equipped with everything you would need for a truly relaxing break. The location is ideal being in a quiet area with Fishcombe Cove just below the development, and it's only a short 15/20 minute stroll through Battery Gardens and along the quayside to Brixham Harbour, the walk back does involve steps or a hill, so you do need to be reasonably fit. There are lots of lovely walks in the area, we particularly enjoyed the walk to Berry Head and the nature reserve. Many thanks to the owner of Dunlin 3 and Blueriver Cottages we had a wonderful time.

    Absolutely lovely <br />Ok, let's get the niggles out of the way first, there's only a couple of small ones. We booked this particular apartment because the information states that there is an undercroft with large storage cupboard to the rear of the property where guests can store a kayak or bike etc. However on arrival we discovered that builders working to the rear of the apartment (no complaint here as we knew work was ongoing when we booked) were using the undercroft as a temporary storage area. Also there was no key to be found anywhere! We had to leave our kayak on the patio area and as this is a ground floor apartment not ideal. The small outside storage box did have a key but the padlock had rusted shut! Now onto the good stuff and this far outweighs the odd niggles. A lovely apartment. Modern, light and packed full of mod cons. Beautiful decor and comfy furniture. The dish washer and washer/drier were a bonus. The patio area is generous and well equipped with fabulous sea views, although when sitting the views are obscured. The bedrooms are on the 'cosy' side but adequate. We found the apartment sparkling and squeaky clean. There is plenty to see and do in the area. We had a fabulous 4 night break.
