About this property

A modern apartment located in the traditional seaside town of BrixhamA modern apartment located in the traditional seaside town of Brixham

Rockend is a modern ground floor apartment situated in a traditional cottage in the pretty fishing town of Brixham.

Internally, the apartment offers a light and airy open plan living, kitchen and dining area that has been stylishly furnished to a high standard throughout. Externally, the property benefits from a courtyard garden that can be accessed from both bedrooms.

The Brixham harbourside is a short walk away and is flanked by a selection of family run restaurants offering fresh fish and the finest of local produce.  For a more casual sample of the local catch, head to one of the harbourside shops offering oysters and fresh shellfish, or for the less adventurous, a hearty portion of fish and chips.

From the harbour, a short walk along the coastal path leads to a selection of beaches and coves, as well as the ever popular seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone. Torquay is within easy reach and is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the South West. Dotted around the harbour there are plenty of bars and cafes where you can sit and simply watch the world go by.

Those looking to entertain the family should head to Paignton, home to a fine selection of attractions including Paignton Zoo, the UK’s 3rd largest zoo; the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway and Quaywest waterpark.
Only one dog can be accepted.

...again. The accommodation is spot on, and only a short walk from the harbour. Lots of choice on boat trips. The Round Robin from Paignton is a must. We've done it three times so far! The walk to Berry Head is great for dogs. There is so much to see and do. We couldn't fit it all in, so we will have to come again. And we will be staying at Rockend! We had a very tired dog at the end of the week, but she had a great time and so did we. Submitted by Susan on 04/07/2016

...to Brixham or to drive further afield to Torquay, Paignton etc apartment has pretty much everything you need but parking could be a problem. A quite tricky blind dip and drop takes you to the car park but the space allocated to Rockend is not suitable for any type of car. If you are as lucky as we were you could use any of the other parking spaces as they were generally not being used but if not most other parking is either only one hour or permit holders only which would be a problem. A solution if all else fails is a 3 day pass (£20) or weekly pass (£33) in the harbour car park which is a 5 minute stroll away and can be used in other council run car parks. Worth noting the car park does charge 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Overall though a very nice week, and good wi-fi Submitted by Martin on 03/04/2016

...well appointed accommodation. Within walking distance from the harbour. Lots to see and do. Very dog friendly. No need to use the car. Go everywhere by bus or boat (weather permitting). Marley our dog loved it. She said we will definitely be coming here again. Submitted by Susan on 20/09/2015
