Inside, charming living/dining room with original beams, nautical features redolent of the cottage’s history, electric ‘living flame’ fire, TV/DVD/video and Xbox. One step up to spacious hallway and single bedroom (internal window) for alternative sleeping. Five steps up to well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, fridge-freezer, gas hob/electric oven). Loo (washbasin). Door to rear garden. Stairs (rope rail) up to three bedrooms – two double (brass bedsteads), one with harbour glimpses from a window seat, and a twin room with nautical decor and children’s toys; family bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). A great family house, convenient for exploring without the need for a car.

"Red sails is a very nice, well located property with parking. The views from the upper barbecue terrace is lovely, looking out over the town and harbour and gets the sun until early evening, a great place to enjoy s glass of wine or three."

"Excellent stay at this attractive warm cottage, with lovely views of the harbour just a few minutes walk away. We took the ferry from the harbour over to Torquay & back. Paignton zoo was about a 15min drive as was Agatha Christie's holiday home Greenway, excellent; need to book parking in advance. We parked in Paignton and took the steam train to Kingswear & ferry across to Dartmouth, return journey, good day out. Good public transport links for those not wanting to drive. Excellent restaurants, ice creams & pubs by Brixham harbour with nice friendly staff. Mrs D. Robinson"
