About this property

A traditional Victorian terraced cottage, situated in the attractive Devon fishing village of Brixham. With oak floors throughout the ground floor, a stone fireplace and feature wall, this Brixham cottage exudes character with a contemporary feel. Providing ideal family accommodation, this three-storey cottage in Brixham has two double bedrooms on the first floor, one with an en-suite, along with a family room and a children's bunk room set on the second floor. The galley kitchen comes suitably equipped and the sitting room is a cosy spot with its sociable dining area and comfortable seating nestled beside the fire. At the rear of this Brixham cottage, the courtyard garden is sunny and private, offering an ideal corner in which to relax at the close of the day. In just fifteen minutes’ walk you’ll find the busy harbour of this bustling town, where it is customary to watch the local fishermen land their catch. The harbour front is flanked by a selection of family run bars and bistros offering fresh fish and the finest of local produce. A short walk along the coastal path leads to a medley of pretty beaches and coves, as well as the ever-popular seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone. Take the ferry to Dartmouth, which has a good reputation for fashionable restaurants, interesting boutiques and of course, all the amusement and activity along the waterfront. Why not book a boat trip and cruise up the River Dart to Greenway, Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, and spend the afternoon in the lively market town of Totnes? This lovely Brixham cottage is a wonderful space in which to while away a relaxing week on the English Riviera.

Brixham is located in the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny climate all year round. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions.
