It was smaller than exoected from the description with only one shared room downstairs and the kitchen was small with tired fittings. A half sized dishwasher is not big enough for a group of 7 and the fridge/freezer was also not large enough to house the food we had brought for a week of self catering. We were disappointed that we couldn’t use the car electric car charger as it was one of the reasons we selected the property. The village and local area was lovely but more local information/maps with walks highlighted in the property would have been helpful. The property backed onto a farm and we were woken early on bank holiday Saturday by metal grinding which went on for most of the morning. Although the property has lovely old features we felt it was expensive for what was on offer.

If I'm honest I was rather concerned about how the accommodation would cope with the dogs and the baby, all of whom are rather messy! I hope the owners don't take offense at this comment because it is meant positively, but I'm glad the cottage was slightly less pristine than it looks in the photos. All the furniture is solid, comfortable and just aged enough to feel relaxed about using it. Everything is homely and cozy. The flagged floors can cope with animals, babies and muddy boots without complaint. We found every possible item we needed in the kitchen, bathroom etc. The bedrooms are fantastic, with extremely comfortable beds and bedding and huge amounts of space. We had one little issue with the travel cot - not sure if it was us being novices with them or if it was broken, but Andy brought another one for us within 30 minutes of me emailing about it. I loved that the TV can be pushed out of the way when you don't want it to dominate the room, but is there when you need it. The secure back garden for the dogs is a real boon. The area is so beautiful, with countryside, small towns and coast all in easy reach, although inside the cottage itself, you feel miles away from anywhere - in a good way. A peaceful place to just chill out. We loved the warm welcome of wine and chocolates - both very much enjoyed - thank you. I do hope we can return one day.

Couldn’t fault it really. Loved staying here (adults, kids and dogs would agree). We just about got used to the low beams by the end of our stay (a few bumps and bruises later!) .
