About this property

Barton Cottage is situated in the lovely town of Southwold. It has traditional features along with a modern twist of interiors. It would suit anyone wishing to be centrally based in this Suffolk town.

Barton Cottage has been maintained by the owners who have blended all modern conveniences with the property's old world charm. It was built in the 17th century by French Huguenots fleeing France in the 1690s from religious persecution. The beams would have been recycled from old boats which was common practice at the time. It is ideally situated just yards from the seafront and high street. It provides a wonderful retreat all year round, and has the added benefit of a courtyard garden. Shop: 100 yards Pub: 100 yards.
