If this wasn?t enough, the property also boasts a steam room, wet room and top-range gym equipment. Upstairs is equally splendid - every bedroom has its own spacious bathroom. This is what dream holidays look like!

This stunning property can be enjoyed at any time of the year, in any season. In warmer months, open the bi-fold doors and immerse yourself in the beautiful coastline just yards from the property, and bask in the sunshine. Enjoy magnificent views of the beach from every room, as well as from the superb indoor heated swimming pool. When the temperature drops, read a book on the chaise, with sublime scenery stretching across to nearby Aldeburgh. Perfect for family holidays, the children will love the indoor pool with cannon jet, and grown ups will relish quieter moments in the spa pool and steam room - just heavenly. For the more sport inclined there is also gym equipment, with a Horizon Cycle machine, Pilates equipment and table tennis.

A glass wall separates the sunny open plan living area from the garden, the beach, the pool area and The Boat House (accommodating up to 6 people in 1 double and bunk room for 4). Sit as a family in front of the log burning stove, or write letters in one of several charming study areas. Tired after a busy day? Relax in front of the big screen in the TV room or listen to the Sonos sound system. With underfloor heating and a lovely green oak floor and rugs, you'll be toasty warm whatever the weather. If this wasn?t enough, the property boasts a large circular dining table, a superb breakfast bar and a really spacious kitchen. A second kitchen / utility room is ideal if you prefer not to be in the limelight when you are cooking.

Upstairs, every bedroom has its own lovely en suite with bath and large walk in shower. Sit out on the first floor balcony with your morning coffee and watch the ships go by or settle down at the table with some games and puzzles. Tons of space throughout. Beside the pool is the old Boat House which has been converted into further sleeping accommodation for up to 6 people - perfect for teenagers. Downstairs is a double bedded room, a shower room with w.c and wash basin, heated towel rail and an open plan living room with a large sofa, television with Sky TV and galley kitchen. Upstairs amongst the eaves are four fitted full sized single beds.

The Surroundings:

Thorpeness, a charming Edwardian village, is located just a mile up the coast from Aldeburgh. The village is famous for its unspoilt beach, fairy tale architecture and the Meare - a large expanse of water where you can row, sail, punt or canoe around the tree covered islands, occupied by ducks and swans, fortified castles, wild pirates and even the occasional dragon. There is a super village shop, a cafe, and a great pub serving fantastic food as well as Adnams beers and fine wines.

Beyond the village, there are lovely heathland and seaside walks, with the opportunity for birdwatching at Westwood Marshes (rspb), all a short walk from the house. Nearby is Aldeburgh, home of the Aldeburgh Festival as well as several excellent restaurants. RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Southwold are but a short drive away. Aldeburgh has a great selection of pubs, cafes and shops, as well as an arts cinema and theatre to complement its excellent restaurants.

Please note that use of the pool is divided between Spinneys and The Boat House, with both properties available as holiday lets either separately or together. The Boat House sleeps 6, Spinneys sleeps 8, and the properties together sleep 14. Please contact the owner after booking to arrange for time slots if booking properties separately.
