The Granary, Rookery Farm, Hacheston has been lovingly renovated by the owners to create thoughtful and practical holiday accommodation for family and friend groups wishing to explore the area. Just a short drive from the market town of Framlingham, you too could explore Ed Sheeran's 'Castle on The Hill'! The large open plan living area provides a bespoke country style kitchen, a dining area and sitting area with log burning fire - sliding patio doors lead out to the courtyard, opening the space even further, making this perhaps the ultimate family retreat. Hacheston itself is a charming Suffolk village, with plenty of interesting architecture to fill you with awe. Rookery Farm itself is surrounded by rolling fields - perfect if you wish to 'Escape to the Country' without being a million miles from both civilisation and the seaside. 

Why we Love this property: The Granary really does have a family feel and is ideal for holidays year round. Guests have the added benefit of using the on-site Tennis Court, perfect in the Summer months.

ground floor

Entrance hall/Utility Room: Good sized utility room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer. Tennis rackets for the tennis court.

Shower Room: Large cubicle shower, heated towel rail, basin, w.c.

Living Area: The living area is a generous size and divided into three areas. The bespoke kitchen has fully fitted units with a large gas hob with wok ring, electric ovens including 2 fan assisted ovens, slow oven and grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, cafetiere, iPod dock, breakfast bar with 3 stools. The dining area has a table and chairs for 6. The sitting area has 2 sofas, armchairs, footstool, coffee tables and lamps, bookcase with plenty of books and games as well as a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove. The TV shows SKY plus and also has a DVD player. There is also a CD/Radio. 3 tri-fold doors lead out onto the courtyard. Stairs from the Living Area lead to the First Floor.

Bedroom 1: King sized bed, bedside tables and lamps, hairdryer. Built in wardrobe with hanging space. TV. 

Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with 2 single beds, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, dressing table with mirror. There is a large hanging cupboard on the landing for clothes. 

Bedroom 3: Double bed, bedside tables and lamps, dressing table and chair. Built in wardrobe with hanging space. A door leads to a staircase leading to the outside parking area. 

Bathroom: Bath and hand held shower, w.c., basin and heated towel rail. 

Outside: There is a good sized patio area with furniture, barbecue and table tennis table. Guests also have access to a Tennis Court onsite. 

Parking: There is parking for 2-3 cars in the drive.

Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed. 

Heating: Ground source heat pump. 

Notes: WiFi, Bed linen and towels provided. 

Hacheston is small village just outside of Wickham Market. It is within the Suffolk Coastal Heritage Area and well placed for visiting the beautiful coastal resort of Aldeburgh and the historic towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham with its wonderful castle. Within a ten mile radius you will find the attractions of Easton Farm Park, Snape Maltings and Sutton Hoo.

    Beautiful, tranquil location, very warm welcome. Accommodation was very well equipped, particularly the beautiful solid wood kitchen. Great to have the option of downstairs shower and WC. Hosts were nearby and very helpful. Would definitely return!
