Ideal for: Two couples or two friends wishing to explore this delightful corner of Suffolk, where Sibton Green meets Peasenhall. In picturesque north-east Suffolk, Sibton is perfectly placed to discover the treats of the Heritage coast at nearby Dunwich and, just a few miles further, at Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Southwold. To the north-west is the most beautiful rolling countryside with ancient villages and market towns to explore, including Beccles and Framlingham.

Just 8 miles away in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the ancient town of Dunwich, boasting a fascinating history, home to the rspb Minsmere Nature Reserve. The coastline here includes beaches with both sand and shingle, marshland and commons with rare flora and fauna.

Snape and Aldeburgh, both famous for their international music, food and arts festivals have an all year-round programme of events and are well worth a visit. The area is great for walking with a network of footpaths and, for cycling enthusiasts, a section of the National Cycling network Route 1 passes through the neighbouring village of Peasenhall and Sibton Green.
Self catering eating: Peasenhall has a selection of small stores, a post office where you can buy freshly baked rolls and the nationally renowned deli, Emmett's. Also within walking distance of the Annexe is Creaseys butchers and farm fruit and vegetables, all locally sourced. Weavers tearooms is very good and you can buy cakes to take away too. Saxmundham is the nearest town with both a Tesco and Waitrose store.

Eating out: If you fancy dining out, you won't have to travel far as the award winning Sibton White Horse pub is just a few minutes by bicycle or a pleasant stroll. This area is rich in great pubs and restaurants so you will be spoiled for choice; some worth visiting include The Ship Inn at Dunwich, The Lighthouse at Aldeburgh, and The Plough and Sail at Snape Maltings.
