Consisting of two stylish apartments, sharing an external front door, a communal hallway and separate internal front doors, Marsh Lodge is ideal for two couples or family members wishing to spend time together whilst having space and privacy. Each apartment has been furnished and decorated to the very highest standard, consisting of well-equipped kitchens, open plan seating/dining areas and elegant, spacious, en-suite double bedrooms.

Located on the outskirts of the charming seaside town of Aldeburgh, and only 4 miles from the delights of Snape Maltings and its world-famous concert hall, this property is ideal for relaxing and exploring and is a fabulous base for music enthusiasts, beach lovers, cyclists, walkers and golfers.

Whilst attached to the owner’s home, Marsh Lodge very much sits in its own space. Both apartments have their own secluded areas of garden and guests have access to the large lawn at the front of the house as well as private parking. The views from both properties are spectacular - overlooking the glorious and unspoilt marshlands of the River Alde.

The two apartments at Marsh Lodge can be booked individually through Rural Retreats; Marsh View (sleeping two guests) occupies the ground floor and accepts one well behaved dog and River View (sleeping two guests) occupies the first floor and is pet free.

This was a very high standard property which we occupied as two couples both upstairs and down. The inside of the flats were excellent and brand new - all fittings first class, curtains and bed linen of the highest quality. The whole set up well thought out -so much so that we have booked to resists in May 2019. The housekeeping may have been a little more thorough - though this is a minor gripe! The problem the owners have (and I think they know it) is that there is no access available to visitors to the back of the property down to the marshes from within the owner's property itself - this can only be attempted by a rather hazardous walk along the perimeter road then down to the marshes. The front gardens are extensive and available to visitors but, while pleasant, are now very conducive to sitting out in as the main road is in full view and a trifle noisy and the owners are still carrying out building work so we felt we may be a little intrusive! Very impressed.
