This historic barn conversion is a charming holiday home in the village of Yaxley.

John Fanner Barn is one of three properties situated within the grounds of Yaxley Manor House. The original Manor was built as a farmhouse for John Fanner around 1520 and was altered in the 17th century for the Felgate family. This spacious two storey timber-framed barn is filled with character throughout. There is a large, central reception room with galleried landing bedroom which continues to a king size bedroom. John Fanner Barn has a traditional finish and also has shared use of the grounds. Ideally located only half a mile away from the local pub and approximately fifteen minutes to the historic market town of Diss, five minutes to Eye and approximately half an hour to Framlingham this location is a great base. Coachmans Cottage, The Coach House and John Fanner Barn are all situated within the same grounds and can be booked together to accommodate larger parties. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 0.5 miles.

The village of Yaxley is located two miles to the west of the market town of Eye, well-known for its medieval castle and offers many convenience shops, butchery, bakery, greengrocers and Co-operative store and many other independent shops. The area has good transport links with the A140 providing routes to the A14, M11 and Diss six miles to the north. Activities such as fishing, golf, cycling and swimming are all within easy driving distance to Yaxley. For walkers don't forget Thornham walks are just two miles away where you can enjoy twelve miles of woodland and footpaths within the Thornham Estate. For a day out along the Suffolk coast you can take advantage of trips to both Southwold and Aldeburgh being only a forty five minute drive away.
