We had a lovely week in Suffolk and we're lucky with the weather with good access to forest walk, National trust properties and the Coast. The large enclosed garden at the property was great and very much appreciated by our dog. We were disappointed to find the property not as clean as we would expect and it appeared a little neglected. The adjoining door from the cottage to the main house resulted in quite a bit of noise including being able to hear conversations from the owners kitchen. The boiler outside was a little noisy as well as the trains, but these were not too bad in the grand scheme of things. A gathering of the owners friends resulted in us being unable to park one evening, and although a car was moved in order to allow us onto the drive when we popped out later the same issue appeared meaning we have to move our car again. A small issue but only 1 toilet roll was provided for the entire week- not really what I would expect.Danielle ‐ 2 Sep 2016

Quiet haven it was not. Constant train noise, heating boiler firing up outside front door, dogs barking and voices heard through communal door in kitchen, young lad at back of property joyriding on ride-on mower one afternoon, woman outside back of property shouting & swearing at 8.15 one morning. Heating in the cottage not very controllable - either not warm enough or too hot. First time ever no spare toilet roll in rented hol. property - had to buy one! Who needs a washing machine? A standard cooker would have been a better use of space. Heated towel rail came on and off of its own accord. Lots of cobwebs - Halloween coming soon. Didn't appreciate the gardeners covering the car in strimmed grass etc. Unable to connect to wifi at any time. Four star property - I think not. This is an ideal cottage for a dog owner. The garden is secure and catches the sun so we found it a good place for the rest and recuperation that we needed. There were nearby walks as well.The cottage was comfortably and attractively furnished.We appreciated all the laundry equipment but would have found it helpful to have a kitchen cloth or sponge - something we have always found in other cottages so did not have with us and a minor matter.Margaret ‐ 21 Aug 2015
Lovely cottage, shame you can hear the owners through the joint door in the kitchen . A free standing cooker would be better than a washing machine, A lovely welcome pack, milk, cakes and wine. Our dog loved the walled garden, very safe, and the treats left out for her.Confirmed guest ‐ 14 Aug 2015

We booked a long weekend last minute and although the heating took a while to figure out and I'm not used to a multi function microwave, the owner and her family were friendly and helpful. The property was quiet and comfortable, especially the bed.Theresa ‐ 16 Mar 2015
Overall rating would be 10 in summer! The house cools off quite quickly and needs a lot of heating. It is fine from 5 degrees on.Diana
like other people who have visited the cottage only having a door between the two properties it is noisy, as for the kitchen if you don't know how to use a combination oven without the instructions you would give up we went on the internet to find out and did get to using it. only having a hob with two hot plates was time consuming, as for the BBQ it was a no no. the advice we would say don't cook use the take away s luckily they are not far way and very good.as for everything else it was fine our dog loved the garden and outside the cottage was really nice and relaxing and the area is great. the welcome pack was nice we like to vary our holidays and are already looking for somewhere to go on the Gower south wales next yeargary
