Queenie’s Cottage is brimming with rustic charm, with beamed ceilings, woodburning stove and stunning French style interiors… a very special two bedroom cottage for four guests with an amazing garden of waterways and covered terraces for alfresco living, right in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.

Metfield is a lovely village with a shop and pub. It’s just a 30 minute drive to the coast - head off to Southwold, a traditional coastal town famous for its pier, lighthouse, pastel coloured beach huts and fabulously fresh seafood! The town has some excellent independent shops, cafes and restaurants, be sure to call in for a pint of the acclaimed Adnams beer in one of the popular pubs. Bungay, Eye and Framlingham are also within easy reach, famous for their castles.

Please Note:  The owners consider this property is unsuitable for the elderly/infirm and children under 8 because of the water feature in the garden and the steep stairs.

A large larder, dining table with four seats Wet room: walk in zinc-panelled shower, WC and wash basin. Sitting room: two sofas, large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner , corner cupboard.Internal lobby with spiral stairs leading to first-floor landing:Bedroom 1: king size bed, built in cupboard, wide oak floorboards. Ensuite shower room: shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Spiral stairs to second floor:Bedroom 2: twin beds (low beam across this room and care must be taken).

Entertainment: TV :Outside: partly walled garden with water features (inspired by the irrigation canals of Southern France) and glass covered terrace. Parking:General: WiFi. Bedding and towels provided. Central heating. No smoking. Pets: Two well behaved dogs welcome. The owner can provide a dog crate should guests wish to go out for short periods without their pet. Pets are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture There is a pet fee of £15 per dog.Accidental Damage Deposit: You may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver for this property. Where applicable we will contact you in good time before your holiday with further details and to take payment.Meadowsweet Cottage is next door and is also available to rent - the cottages can be rented individually or together if you have a larger group.
