We really enjoyed our 7 night break at Laxfield Lodges (we stayed in the Sunrise VIP wooden lodge). The location is peaceful and is excellently maintained. Our hosts were perfect. Plenty of land for kids to explore and great for a UK break. Highly recommend.

I booked the weekend stay around 8 months in advance due to the panic booking of UK breaks during the lockdown, my only request was that it had an enclosed hot tub area. This seemed like the perfect place and was good value so went ahead and booked. When we arrived I was actually shocked at how lovely, big and clean the lodge was. There was milk, butter and jam in the fridge and a load of homemade bread which was such a lovely touch. It had everything you could possibly need including extra towels for the hot tub and a washing machine! The location is so calm and peaceful being in the middle of nowhere with large fields for a leisurely stroll. Absolutely loved our stay and didn’t want to leave!! I also called a few days before and asked if balloons could be put in the lodge (my boyfriends 30th birthday) for a small fee and these were inside when we arrived which I was so grateful for. The only thing that we would change is the check in and out times, as 5pm Friday and 9am Sunday didn’t give us much time to explore local attractions but hopefully this will be amended soon! Will definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again in the near future.
