Snaptrip says

Ploughman's Cottage in Eye, Suffolk, is a characterful property that has generally pleased guests with its comfort, quaintness, and village location. The enclosed garden is appreciated by pet owners, and the property's charm and cleanliness are noted. The spiral staircase and traffic noise are mentioned as potential drawbacks, but the overall experience is positive, with the village's friendliness and local pub being highlights.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with fresh and comfortable linen. Some minor issues were noted, such as cobwebs and dust in certain areas, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on cleanliness.

The cottage is situated in a charming village with friendly locals and a good pub. It serves as a great base for exploring Suffolk. However, some guests noted traffic noise and the proximity to the road as downsides.

Guests praised the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere of the cottage, particularly highlighting the wood burner. The spiral staircase, however, was frequently mentioned as a challenge, especially for those with mobility issues or carrying luggage.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and the garden is a bonus. However, there are several remarks about the lack of a shower, issues with the heating system, and difficulties with some appliances, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We personally would have found a dishwasher in the kitchen more useful than a washing machine. Lovely to have a secure garden for the dogs.

Has everything you need in the kitchen: The freezer; being in the shed, created a little problem for me: I didn't realise it wasn't switch on :) Ha Ha. Light and airy up stairs, and a very comfortable double bed & pillows. Cleanliness was good, for an old building. And it's good that you except dogs, they had a great time. Wasn't too sure where to park; but the locals showed us. You can buy little bits you need in the Local Post Office, and all though we didn't have a meal in the Pub, we can reamend the deserts and a glass of wine in there: very friendly staff: and dogs welcomed.

The description was accurate. The log fire was brilliant. Yes, the staircase was tight, but it does tell you that in the description, so I was prepared for it, and it wasn't a problem . The only small inconvenience was the light outside front door didn't work which was problematic in the dark being right on the road, and the lights in the cooker hood didn't work but they were small inconveniences. The local pub keeps very good ale and is warm and inviting All in all, I really enjoyed my time there.. Thank you for the stay
