Snaptrip says

Gardener's Cottage in Hadleigh, Suffolk, is praised for its warm, cosy atmosphere and beautiful, dog-friendly gardens. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, ideal for countryside walks and stargazing. The welcome touches of bread, milk, and eggs are noted, though the decor and some facilities are described as tired and in need of updating.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean, with no residual pet odours and spotless conditions noted by several guests, contributing to a high cleanliness rating.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local amenities, and the abundance of walking routes, making it an excellent base for exploring rural Suffolk.

The cottage is often referred to as warm and cosy, with comfortable beds and a secure garden for dogs. However, some guests mention that the decor is looking tired, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

While the presence of a dishwasher, washer dryer, and good Wi-Fi are appreciated, several reviews suggest that the kitchen and other facilities could benefit from refurbishment, leading to a moderate score in this category.

Guests are delighted by the thoughtful provision of essentials like bread, milk, and eggs. However, it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Overall, we found the Cottage quiet, peaceful and comfy, and sheltered in its hollow. The welcome provisions were appreciated too. Likewise, having a pantry with fridge freezer, and a utlity room. One does feel though that the Cottage needs a spruce up- what with cracked and peeling paint in many places, a stained ceiling from a previous water leak, hand towel rail dropping off the wall and so on. Its name does not provide the excuse for it being so down at heel. Although, I'm sure families must enjoy the feeling of not being able to spoil the decor!

..convenient for high street and restaurants / bars ect walking distance but not sure about walking back in the dark at night in winter months ... suited us as we were visiting family and just needed a place to sleep ... overall would recommended
