About this property

This Staffordshire village of Forsbrook is the home to a pretty semi-detached property, Rose Cottage, situated close to all your amenities and nearby to lots of attractions. With two bedrooms, this cottage is suitable for a small family or couples, with quality furnishings and well-presented décor. Set over three floors, we begin on the ground-floor and enter straight into the sitting room; two inviting leather sofas are waiting to be snuggled up on in front of the woodburning stove and the huge 50” Smart TV, a fantastic source of entertainment on a rainy day or a quiet evening. Move into the conservatory next door to relax in the rays from a plush chair, with another TV in this room (to prevent fighting over the channels!), it makes a lovely spot to sit with a morning brew. Following into the dining room you will immediately notice the impressive decorative fireplace, lovingly restored and gelling perfectly with the oak oval dining table, a place for gathering together and enjoying excellent food. From here we reach the kitchen with a country farmhouse theme showing in the stable door to the back garden, and the Range-style cooker and gas hob, you will love preparing everything from breakfast, to picnics to evening meals in this pleasant space. Wander out of the stable door and take a look at the excellent garden, a gorgeous spot for a sunny day, the kids can run around on the lawn while the hot tub heats up within the secluded decking to the back, hop in for a relaxing dip and relax, you’re on holiday! When another exciting day is done, head upstairs to the first floor to find the double bedroom and bathroom, where an elegant iron double bed frame sits under the exposed beams and across from the pretty antique dressing table and decorative fireplace, with white walls and beautiful bedding this is a wonderful place to rest your head. The bathroom has a classic roll top bath with a modern shower overhead, the white fittings contrasting against the vibrant feature wallpaper wall. Move further up another set of stairs to the twin room continuing the bright and airy décor of the rest of the property, a great spot for the little ones especially when you have a stairgate available, or if it’s for a couple then the beds can be put together to make a super-king via a mattress topper, the choice is yours. A short stroll will bring you to the amenities of Forsbrook, dine out for an evening or two to take a night off from the kitchen at one of the several pubs serving lovely classic dishes, start the day with breakfast or brunch at one of the cafes before heading further afield. Just under 10-miles away is the fantastic and thrilling Alton Towers so if you and your loved ones enjoy some breath-taking excitement then you can spend the day flying through the air on the many roller-coasters and rides that lie not far away. For a less adrenaline-filled day, in the opposite direction is Trentham Gardens, a 725-acre estate to explore including within it a Monkey Forest with monkeys living in total freedom, you can walk along the woodland trails and observe their everyday antics for yourself! The garden centre and shopping village make for lovely browsing with cafes and restaurants too so you can stop for a bite to eat, or for those who still want more active fun, then try out their Treetop Adventures with over 28 exciting treetop obstacles, maybe you’ll get some tips from the monkeys beforehand! Whatever your choice of activity, Rose Cottage is a gorgeous property that will await your return after each exciting day out.

Found just under 7-miles from the bustling city of Stoke-on-Trent, is this small village of Forsbrook on the edge if the Staffordshire Moorlands. There's not need to venture further for your essentials as the village is home to a Post Office, a spar and several pubs and cafes. The garden is beautiful and totally secure for the dog. The hot tub was great after walking all day too. The fridge has an icebox which just about fitted the food we took with us, to freeze and take out as needed. The kitchen is well equipped but a slotted spoon would have been useful. I met Mick one morning when he came to check the hot tub, either him or Tracy do this every morning and it was only because I was coming back from a walk saw and spoke to him, the rest of the time, we wouldn't have known they had been into the garden, he gave me a few ideas for walks, as did one of the lovely ladies in the local Spar shop, but there are a couple of books about walking in the Peak District at the cottage that we also had a flick through. There is a local park called Jubilee Gardens or Forsbrook playground about a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage, this was ideal for our early morning walks with the dog before heading out for the day. There are fairly low doorframes which my partner banged his head on a few times, but as he's 6'3" this was why, and by the end of the week he'd learnt to duck! All in all, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend Rose Cottage to family and friends.

Very comfortable accommodation, especially the sofas and attic bed which we had made up to the super king-size bed. Stairs to get up there a bit narrow and steep we managed just fine though, very quaint and beautiful up there. Kitchen great has everything we needed dining room too, all set for a family gathering. Living room extremely cozy, spacious bright conservatory ideal for reading a book....our dog loved it in there Garden fully enclosed, hot tub clean very relaxing at the end of the day. Cottage in the middle of a busy village, local spa shop had everything you would need. Local fish and chip shop a must! Butchers Arms pub definitely worth a visit. All in all a relaxing week and would recommend.

Very clean and extremely comfy beds. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub. The cottage is close to Alton Towers and many beauty spots. Prosecco & cake were a real welcome treat on our arrival.
