Perfectly positioned for a tranquil retreat, Pennine View makes a marvellous holiday home for a group of up to eight people to explore the excitement of both North Staffordshire and the wider wonder of the Peak District National Park. Providing a homely aura and contemporary charm, this dwelling is ideal for a getaway for a family or a group of friends at any time of year to uncover the beauty of this picturesque, largely unknown, area of England. Begin your relaxing retreat by unwinding in the sitting area , sat around the fire. Here you can sit together in the warmth on a frosty evening with the Smart TV with BT Sport and Netflix or share your meal at the dining table, which is also a great area to play board games. Head into the fully equipped kitchen where you will be greeted by a spacious spot with plenty of room for the preparation of your meals and sitting at the breakfast table. There are a range of appliances including a range cooker and ovens, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Wifi is free. There is also a ground floor toilet. Moving onto the first floor you will find three bright and airy bedrooms, all offering contemporary style. You can choose from a king size bed with an en-suite shower, a twin bedroom and a truckle bedroom, both of which can be double on request. On this floor there is a bathroom with large bath and shower. Outside the delights of the dwelling continues; featuring a patio area with where you can sit and soak in the glory of your surroundings as you watch the sunset over the countryside hills. The local village of Cheddleton plays host to a wide selection of amenities with a convenience store, fish and chip shop and 3 country pubs, The Black Lion, Red Lion and the Boat Inn, all serving real ales and food. The historic Cheddleton Flint Mill visitor centre on the River Churnet, the Caldon Canal and the Cheddleton Station Churnet Valley Railway are local attractions. Follow the Caldon Canal through the beautiful River Churnet Valley on this easy walk in Staffordshire. The walk starts at the lovely Froghall Wharf where you will find a good sized car park. You then pick up the canal towpath and head to Cheddleton before finishing at Deep Hayes Country Park and the Holly Bush canalside pub. Slightly further afield you can find the marvel of the Roaches, which is the beginning of the Pennines, the Peak District National Park and Coombes Valley Nature Reserve, all with ample opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and birdwatching. There is also fly and course fishing available at Tittersworth Reservoir, the Dove Valley and 2 Caldon Canals. There is easy access to Leek, a former silk and textile town. It's now a market town with major supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, antique shops and local markets including a monthly Food Market, a Victorian indoor 'butter' market and weekly farmers livestock auctions. Leek also has two 18 hole golf courses. Nearby Stoke-on-Trent offers shopping, museums( including the Staffordshire Hoard which is the largest hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver metalwork yet found. It consists of over 3,500 items, amounting to a total of 5.1 kg (11 lb) of gold, 1.4 kg (3 lb) of silver and some 3,500 pieces of garnet cloisonné jewellery)

Cheadle, a nearby town, has St. Giles church. This beautiful church was designed and built by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, who also designed the interiors of the Palace of Westminister. It is known locally as Pugin's Gem. Local football teams are Leek Town, Port Vale and Stoke City. Leek Rugby club play nearby on the old hospital estate. Alton Towers Theme Park is a short 25 minute drive away using narrow country roads.

Cheddleton is a traditional Staffordshire village resting within the excitement of the Staffordshire Moorlands. The village offers a selection of shops, pubs and a restaurant, providing everything you could need for a self-catered stay. Nearby you can find the attractions of the Churnet Valley Railway and Cheddleton Flint Mill, as well as Leek making a wonderful day out for outdoors lovers, as well as providing quaint shopping experiences.
