    A wonderfully converted barn situated near lovely Ashbourne, with its cobbled market place, hidden alleys and yards. It is a delight to explore.
    S41001 is a wonderfully converted, semi-detached, holiday barn set within the beautiful Northwood Farm estate. The barn is set in the farms own grounds with views of some of Derbyshire’s prettiest scenery, close to the market town of Ashbourne. The owner has thoughtfully converted this barn to retain lots of the original features but has also included all the contemporary luxuries, such as granite worktops to the kitchen and underfloor heating to the ground floor. Beautifully finished throughout, S41001 has fabulous features with exposed timbers and oak beams, and a wonderful open plan area, allowing you the opportunity to enjoy time together.
    One of the unique features of this property is that the guests have use of an oak framed orangery gym with amazing views over the open countryside. Enjoy the use of treadmill, rowing machine, free weights and a fitness bike, all whilst listening to your music through the Wi-Fi music system. After a good workout, why not treat yourself to a well-deserved sauna!
    From the doorstep of the S41001 there are many walks to explore, and being close to the centre of Ashbourne, with its cobbled market place, hidden alleys and range of shops, its easy to grab those last minute essentials. The wide and elegant Church Street is considered to be the finest street of Georgian buildings in Derbyshire. Ashbourne is central to beautiful countryside and stately homes, with Chatsworth House, Sudbury Hall, Hardwick Hall, Kedleston Hall and Tissington Hall all within an easy drive from this lovely old town. For those of you looking for something a little more energetic, you can enjoy a visit to Alton Towers and Gulliver’s Kingdom, whilst for fresh air and exercise, this area is full of marked footpaths to explore and traffic free, family-friendly cycle routes along former railway lines.
    After a long day exploring the plethora of activities on hand, kick off your shoes and relax on your terrace.

The accommodation was spotless and had lots of extras that made our stay excellent (such as access to a gym and Netflix for relaxing after walking miles at Alton Towers!).
