Everything was amazing however there were alot more new log cabins built around ours which were not in the pictures so it was not as private as we'd liked and our hot tub was over looked by 3 cabins as the fencing was not there like the pictures.

Toilet struggled to flush and some cobwebs around canvases, we don't mind the cobwebs given the location. Only 2 points but overall amazing as usual. Thank you.

This is the 8th Autograph Lodge with hot tub I have booked now in different parts of the country and the 4th booked in December time of year.The Autograph lodges are usually ones that are in pristine condition and with something special about them, a sauna in the Glen Cova ones, a double jacuzzi bath in Griffin Forest and luxury baths in the bedroom of others.Unfortunately the Fox Cub number 28 did not match those standards.First the good points... the staff are very friendly and any request is met without hesitation, new batteries in the heating thermostat was changed with 30 mins.The lodges are surrounded by trees and nice and quiet area if you are there to wind down and relax as I was.Unfortunately the bad points .. the lodge had damage to the bedroom wall supposed caused by someone opening the bedroom door too far but there is both a radiator behind the door and a door stop that stops this happening by about a 3 inch gap.The floor in the bathroom has delaminated to a point that it is that soft in a couple of places that you feel you are going to go through it.Out of the 8 lodges booked so far this is the only one that has not had free WiFi included in the price.. if you want WiFi you have to pay here and make sure you get a code at reception not try it from the lodges themselves as the company sends you a text for verification... which of course you don't get as no signal.Out of the 4 lodges booked in December time this is the only one that has not been decorated for Xmas, all the others had at least a lit tree in all the lodges.. this might have been due to covid but I can't see this being a reason??The shower in the lodge has very little temperature adjustment if at all, the only way to stop being scalded was to turn down the temperature setting on the boiler then turn it back up again after so it was at correct temp to wash up.In this lodge it looked like there had been blinds at the bathroom window as the lodge next door but it looks like they had been taken down for some reason and not replaced.This is the first and only time I have not been able to give a lodge either 4 or 5 stars unfortunately and the only one I would say I would not go back someday.To bring the lodge up other Autograph ones work is required and the little touches thought about to make them stand out as something special.
