Take some time to visit one of the local historic estates like Chatsworth House and the National Trust’s Shugborough Hall, Kedleston Hall or nearby Sudbury Hall and Calke Abbey is just 40 minutes away over in South Derbyshire. The lovely market towns of Lichfield and Ashbourne are a short drive away. Lichfield has a beautiful cathedral and you can visit Samuel Johnson’s Birthplace Museum and Erasmus Darwin’s House.
