About this property

A charming and characterful attached former farmhouse, quietly situated in the heart of the attractive south Somerset village of Winsham on the borders of Dorset and Devon. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms to choose from, the master bedroom benefiting from en-suite facilities, whilst the other bedrooms share the use of a really lovely bathroom complete with a roll-top bath as well as a shower. There is a further shower on the ground floor ensuring none of your party will have to wait long to use the washing facilities! For those who wish to relax away from the rest, there's a cosy snug complete with TV and a good selection of books. Plenty of space for everyone, but still has a cosy atmosphere. Extremely well equipped and with lots of extra thoughtful touches. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The village has an excellent community shop where you can get almost anything! Good country walks from your door, even in winter. We can’t wait to return.

The lounge was always warm and large enough for us all to enjoy for our book club and birthday celebrations, and was beautifully decorated for Christmastime. The kitchen was also a great size, warm from the aga, and well-stocked for all our needs (+ lovely homemade mince pies from the host). The beds were comfortable and the facilities were good. The recommended walks were used every day for my pup, and the local pub has wholesome food served. Would absolutely recommend the church farmhouse!
