Guests say

Tarka View is a charming cottage in Bideford, Devon, appreciated for its fabulous surroundings and privacy. Guests enjoy the hot tub and the property's gated entrance, which adds to the feeling of safety. The location offers lovely walks and the property provides a sense of seclusion despite other rentals nearby. A welcome pack adds a nice touch, though it's worth noting that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Reviews indicate concerns with cleanliness, including cobwebs and unclean windows. However, one review mentions the property being clean, suggesting inconsistency in standards.

The location is highly praised for its privacy, safety, and access to lovely walks, with good private parking mentioned.

Comfort receives mixed reviews, with one guest finding the bed too soft while others found the property comfortable.

Facilities are generally good, but there are issues with maintenance such as a blocked hoover and a light not working. The hot tub is a highlight, though signage for its use could be improved.

While a welcome pack is mentioned positively, there are no consistent references to thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category.

Set in grounds with other rentals, but plenty of space between, and private. Lovely view from the hot tub. Adequate amenities with a fab welcome pack! Would recommend and would return.

The area is outstanding lovely walks just from the doorstep definitely would be returning. A small negative would be that we need bigger signage to say that the hot tub needs topping up after every use there is a small sign on the side of the hot tub probably needs to have a bigger sign on the wall or even on the French windows totally enjoyed our day and will be returning.

Windows not been cleaned for some time. Shower mat old and dirty. Light over cooker not working. Bed not comfortable mattress was far too soft/old. Location good with good private parking. Would not return.
