Peacefully situated in a tiny hamlet in one of the loveliest corners of Devon betwixt Salcombe and Thurlestone are the attractive group of converted Georgian barns that comprise Court Barton. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens and grounds of four acres, the privately owned cottages surround two attractive courtyards and the majority have superb, uninterrupted views down the valley to the sea at Thurlestone/South Milton Sands. The cottages enjoy the use of both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, games room with table tennis and pool, an all-weather tennis court, and the grounds include an orchard and croquet lawn. The sandy beach at South Milton, with the Beach House Café, is only a mile away

Outdoor swimming pool. 5m x 9.8m heated and available from end of May to September weather permitting.

Indoor swimming pool. 5.5m x 11m heated and available all year. His and hers changing rooms. Shower room.

Tennis Court. Hard court. Rackets and balls provided.

Croquet Lawn. Croquet set provided. Built-in barbecue alongside.

Reception. 9 am to 5 pm Monday, Thursday and Friday in high season (varies in low/mid season).

 

This cottage, all on one level, is approached across the Lower Courtyard near the outdoor pool and has a private screened terrace area that extends into the courtyard with pool and garden views.

Accommodation: Ground floor living room, TV/DVD and dining area. Kitchen area with electric hob, eye level oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer dryer. Bedroom 1, twin single beds. Bedroom 2, zip linked twin single beds (can form super king double). Bathroom with shower over bath.

Outside: Private terrace with garden furniture.

Communal areas: Court Barton is approached along a private drive. Grouped around and accessed from two courtyards, with manicured lawns, each cottage has either its own private terrace or balcony provided with garden furniture. The extensive grounds are enclosed and bordered by fields with outstanding views down to the sea.

Included: Bed linen, towels, WiFi (generally good throughout the complex), all on site facilities, electricity and heating (night storage). Cot and high chair by arrangement. Telephone (calls are logged and settled on departure).

Court Barton No.5: This very tastefully decorated and recently renovated stunning South Hams cottage, all on one level, is approached across the Lower Courtyard near the outdoor pool and has a private screened terrace area that extends into the courtyard with pool and garden views.

All cottages enjoy the use of outdoor (May to mid Sept) and indoor (all year) heated swimming pools, games room with table tennis and table football, an all-weather tennis court, and the extensive grounds which includes two attractive courtyards, an orchard and croquet lawn. Should you wish to leave the comfort of this delightful place, less than a mile away is the beach at Thurlestone Sands, wonderful for sunbathing, swimming and watersports, with the village of Thurlestone itself a little further on with its famous links golf course. The beautiful sailing mecca of the Salcombe estuary with its golden beaches is only 3 miles.

This property is available to couples at a discounted rate in the low and mid season. Please note that when the property is let at a discounted rate for 2 people or less in the low or mid season the two bunk bedrooms and family bathroom (which contains the washing machine and tumble dryer) will be closed off.
