Garden View Cottage is one of the three pretty holiday cottages on-site and it has two bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. This 300-year-old property adjoins the owners’ home with its own private access and is adorned with period-style features, ancient wooden beams and vaulted ceilings. Located just a few minutes drive from the East Devon village of Woodbury Salterton, this is an ideal base for a family or a couple wanting to explore the best Devon has to offer.

Step inside the hallway that features original flagstone floors and continue into the country-style kitchen/dining room, where you will find all you need to prepare delicious feasts or snacks. The four-seater dining table is the perfect place to gather for a continental breakfast and a cup of coffee to start the morning right. Venture into the living room where you will find a comfortable space to relax and unwind. Nestle into the plush L-shaped sofa, wiggle your toes beside the log-burning stove or enjoy a movie marathon on the Smart TV, complete with a full Sky package including movies, sports and children’s programmes. Through the living room is a stunning garden room with additional space to wine and dine and a two-seater sofa. When the sun is shining, open the patio doors and immerse yourself in your favourite book or simply admire the delightful views of the garden and beyond. The ground floor is complete with a beautifully decorated single bedroom with the option of an additional single bed if required. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom. This characterful room features a kingsize bed and far-reaching views across the garden. Meanwhile, a 4ft 5” high doorway leads to the modern en-suite shower room. Head outside to the private courtyard garden, fully enclosed so your four-legged can roam freely. Enjoy soaking in the bubbling four-seater hot tub or tucking into an alfresco feast, courtesy of the charcoal BBQ.

The Jurassic coast beaches at Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton are just a 20-minute drive away and the desirable villages of Woodbury, Lympstone and Topsham situated on the Exe Estuary are all within 10 minute’s drive. Exmouth’s two-mile sandy beach on the Jurassic coastline offers excellent water sports facilities and the beach links to the South West Coastal Path and the Exe Estuary Cycle Trail. From November to February, the Exe Estuary is home to some 20,000 migratory birds and the red sandstone cliffs of Orcombe Point at the eastern end of the beach are designated the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Dartmoor National Park is just a 30-minute drive away. Beach 7 miles. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.
