Darcy's Den is a beautifully furnished eco lodge located on the edge of Goonhavern, Cornwall, a short drive from the coast. It's in a countryside setting and is perfect for families looking to get out into nature. This pet-friendly property offers private parking for one car and a decked area to soak up the rays in the summer months. Patio doors lead into the open-plan living space, furnished with an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine, and a breakfast bar. It is spacious enough to accommodate four people and is great for small families who want to dine together. Unwind on the pale blue corner sofa as the woodburning stove crackles before you; flicker through the TV and savour a glass of wine. Venture outside onto the decking, where you can admire the setting from the swing chair as you escape into the pages of a book. As day draws to night, retire inside, and locate the bathroom with the option for a bubble-bath or a rinse in the overhead shower. There are two light and airy bedrooms to choose from, with a king-size with an en-suite and a twin bedroom, both with TVs. The quaint village of Goonhavern hosts a traditional pub for when you fancy a break from the kitchen. a village store to grab the essentials and a playground so the little ones can let off some steam. Visit the nearby attractions for a day filled with fun, with a stop at Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm, Dairyland Farm Park and Lappa Valley. Perranporth is a beautiful coastal town in Cornwall, home to St. Agnes Heritage Coast, Trevaunance Cove, and Perranporth Golf Club. Venture to Newquay, where you can explore the zoo, spend some time on the beach, and visit the National Trust property of Trerice. For long-lasting memories, choose Darcy's Den.

Goonhavern is a small Cornish village just 2.5 miles inland from Perranporth, the setting for Winston Graham's Poldark novels. Goonhavern has an inn, village shop, garden centre, and playground. The community, once known for its tin, still has abandoned pump houses, mine shafts, and workers' cottages. Perranporth has a three-mile-long sandy beach and craggy rocks for rock pooling. In summer, the beach is lifeguarded and hosts the British National Surfing Championships. Perranporth has a small selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs, including The Watering Hole, a beachfront pub with live entertainment, good food, and a stunning sunset view. Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both worth visiting to learn about the area's heritage.
