This spacious one bedroom cottage is based in a lovely rural location joining the owner's farm, close to the village of Blisland, Cornwall. Suited for couples wanting somewhere refreshing to return to each day, The Smithy is beautifully designed, immaculately presented with both a summery feel for those warmer months, and a cosy feel come winter.
The open-plan living area is the perfect setting to begin your holiday, a lovely place to settle down at the breakfast bar with a cup of tea, or snuggle up before the central woodburning stove. The modern kitchen is effortlessly styled in fresh white units, with ceiling spotlights situated above, bringing a warm glow to the layout, and you can prepare your favourite meals amidst it all. What better way to take in the wonderful location than enjoying dinner in the serene conservatory, with a view over the patio area, and in the distance, an outlook across the stunning Moor. Continuing through The Smithy, there is a family bathroom with a large rainfall effect overhead shower, wrapped in smoky grey walls, whilst the double bedroom is glamorously put together, complimented by wooden furnishings, and a skylight window which welcomes the outside in. Dog-friendly and ideal for walkers, you can spend much of your time strolling the one-of-a-kind destination, or for something different, why not enjoy a taste of the village charm at Blisland Inn, one of the most popular pubs in Cornwall. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline. A relaxing escape for two.
The village is located less than three miles from the A30, and so provides an ideal central location for touring Cornwall. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. The route is completely traffic-free and perfect for walkers and cyclists. Venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beaches.

There is everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The location is great with the moor very close by. We had a fabulous week, lots of walking with our dog. We visited Newquay, Bude, Padstow and Fowey as well as Cardinham Woods. Highly recommended.
