Forming one half of the historic King John's Barn, once the rallying point for huntsmen coming from the nearby Wychwood Forest, "The Old Oak" is situated in a classic rural location near to the Cotswolds villages of Shipton under Wychwood and Leafield - both within easy striking distance of Burford and Chipping Norton. Inside, the property is absolutely spotless and clean it is furnished neatly and has a relaxing feel when you arrive. Smaller than it's bigger brother The Gallery, it is just as appealing and comfortable. On the ground floor is an open plan space with all of the main elements you would expect including a well kitted kitchen upstairs are two ensuite bedrooms - ideal for two couple if staying. We've enjoyed promoting this barn for over 15 years and have had many, many happy customers. Leafield, Oxfordshire is a short drive away from Ascott, which is an attractive hamlet situated on the northern edges of the Cotswolds in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. The village is relatively unspoilt and has a lovely selection of period houses scattered arpound the lanes, in fact it's a delightful example of an 'olde England' village.
