Lumsden is a converted detached coach house, just 50 minutes train journey from London. It retains its original Edwardian character and offers spacious and contemporary accommodation, and lies in a quiet rural position, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is located in the grounds of a larger property, set within 3 acres,and adjacent to the all-weather tennis court, which is available to be used by guests. Visitors can enjoy far reaching views fromthe property, to the open rolling countryside beyond.

The historic village of Goudhurst is just under 2 miles and is one of Kent's highest and most picturesque Wealden villages. It is dominated by an old Norman church overlooking the high street.Goudhurst has a number of pubs, including the Goudhurst Inn, which serves excellent pub food. The village also has traditional village shops, and a fine selection of period, Kent peg tile and white weather boarded properties that lead down the hill to the duck pond.

Lumsden is perfectly located for easy access to an array of Country pursuits,including sailing and water sports at Bewl water, cycling and walking at Bedgebury Pinetum, as well as equestrian facilities at Bedgebury Park. Seasonal driven shoots are available at Glassenbury, which is on the far side of the village. There are a number of walking/hiking routes which are easily accessible within a shortdistance of the property. Elphicks fisheries are also very close.

For guest seeking a more relaxed stay,there are several nearby places of interest to visit,including Sissinghurst Castle,Batemans, Scotney Castle, Finchcocks, Pashley Manor,as well as the spa town of Tunbridge Wells, just a short drive away.

At the end of the day visitors can relax on the terrace overlooking the large open garden and paddocks and watch a splendid sunset over a glass of award winning wine from one of the local vineyards!

There are a number of Michelin starred restaurants just a short drive or taxi away, serving fantastic local produce. Guests could also opt to take a leisurely stroll along country lanes to the nearby village of Kilndown, and to the village pub, The Globe and Rainbow, which serves good food.
