As the pictures display it’s a lovely and well designed space. We loved the location and the details really made it a lovely place to relax. For the price and considering so many other details were thought of, we were surprised there was no soap/shampoo/body wash and had to hunt around for somewhere what was open on a Sunday to buy some. Additionally, as a rather luxe bnb the size of the towels could be bigger.Would definitely stay again, we’d just bring soap!

We loved our stay at Smugglers Cottage! Being in the heart of Old Town you do have to be prepared to hear people bustling about and yes they can be noisy as they make their way from the pub, but we think it’s a good pay off for the location and the cool but cosy cottage vibe. Very comfy beds too! The garden was great for our two pups to snuffle about in.

A perfect little place for a seaside visit. The cottage is very well designed, the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom are very comfortable and very well equipped (although you need a degree to understand the heating system) although I would think a bit of a squeeze for 4 adults in the living room. I stayed over Christmas and it was absolutely lovely, partly because there were very few people around. Night-time can be a little noisy (but they have provided ear-plugs) and it would be good to have a curtain/draft excluder for the front door. It is a perfect location for exploring Margate and the beach. The people who own and manage the property are lovely and really helpful (particularly when I couldn't work the aforementioned heating system). All in all I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
