The ideal retreat after a busy day exploring the historic buildings of this ancient town with a fascinating variety of antiques, art dealers, independent shops, boutiques and traditional tea rooms. Only a short walk away is Hythe’s long stretch of pebble beach, a great place to watch the local fishing boats set out and return from a day at sea. Be sure to bring your camera or your sketch pad as you’ll find plenty of things you want to remember your holiday by.

When we arrived at 8pm after 20 hours travelling we found no one had hoovered, beds unmade, dirty plates in the dishwasher on arrival, garage door not functioning (second parking space that we couldn't use with visitors or luggage), windows filthy, shower curtain moulding, no baby chair provided as requested, cot not made up and not in the bedroom upon arrival. I had to clean the house top to bottom while 4 months pregnant and with an 8 month old in tow. I have received no comment from the owners or mulberry cottages.

Excellent stay in a very nice cottage ideally situated.The house itself is very well equipped, and comfortable. The children, and us, loved it.
