About this property

A medieval house, located close to Canterbury in the Elham Valley, wonderfully furnished with a mix of French and English character. Set in extended grounds, ideal for a gathering of friends and families.

This large holiday home in Kent is a truly unique and fascinating house dating back to 1500, situated in Barham with miles of endless countryside, local gastro pubs and restaurants, it's the prime location to explore Kent.

With a charming south facing walled garden, safe for young families to enjoy, guests can relax and unwind on a lazy afternoon in the garden. Ideal for alfresco summer gatherings with friends and in winter, gather in the ornate dining room, with grand high ceilings surrounded by beautiful French furniture.

Marvel at the medieval and Georgian architecture, including stripped wood floors, ancient panel work along wide-open corridors and impressive windows that invite the natural sunlight to flood into the house. The proud home has witnessed several eras, wars and takes its place in history giving us a glimpse into the past.

Interesting and comfortable house. Very clean. There was no house or local area information pack that we could find only WiFi and bins info on chalk board. Also not enough decent mugs for 6 of us! If there were more staying it would be a problem. Sign outside house says Anne Court - we weren't sure we had the right property!
