About this property

This superb detached coastal family home with a New England style interior, is situated on the outskirts of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Set just an easy walk into the heart of the historic harbour town of Yarmouth, on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, this is an ideal base for a fun-filled, break away.

The home was fully refurbished within the past couple of years, with a brand new glass conservatory installed in the spring of 2019. The living room has an 180 degree panoramic view of the Solent, which has a real wow factor. The room is a wonderful space, both for relaxation and entertaining. The Smart TV with premium fibre broadband, has access to many channels, including YouTube, Amazon Prime and Netflix (using your own account) and the iPod dock, allows you to listen to your favourite tracks with surround sound. There is even a hand carved wooden mango chest full of games, puzzles and books, if you wish a break from technology.

In addition to the living room, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. A super king size master bedroom with basin, vanity unit and seaview, a king size bedroom with basin, vanity unit and garden view, and a twin bedroom with a garden view (which can be arranged as a super king bed on request). The bathroom on this floor includes a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail, sink, modern LED mirror and WC.

On the ground floor there are two further bedrooms, a spacious super king size ground floor master bedroom and a spacious twin bedroom (which can be arranged as a super king size bed on request). Both bedrooms have partial sea views. A luxury tiled shower room is situated next to the bedrooms and includes a shower enclosure with rainshower head and handset, a heated towel rail, sink, modern LED mirror and WC.

Beyond the bathroom is an open plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, microwave, American fridge freezer and dishwasher and the dining area seats 10 people comfortably. In addition there is a Smart TV positioned on the wall, which makes this a truly versatile space for entertaining children and adults alike.

The side door from the kitchen leads you into the south facing conservatory which is perfect both morning and night. Sunny and bright in the morning and on a clear night look up through the glass roof and count the numerous stars in the night sky!

Beyond the conservatory is a south facing patio and garden, perfect for alfresco dining or sunbathing. Just off from the conservatory is a very handy utility room with WC and belfast sink and houses the laundry facilities.

Beyond the garden is the drive and parking for three cars. The house is perfectly situated to explore the island, whether by car, bike or on foot. The pathway down to the seafront is immediately in front of the house and is an easy 10 minute stroll in to Yarmouth. The old railway track line is only a couple of minutes walk past the house and is one of the beauty spots of the island, with its vivid wildlife and stunning countryside views. The house is also well located for shops, cafes and restaurants and to explore the many island attractions, with less than a 15 minute drive to the south and west points of the island and less than a 30 minute drive to the centre of the island. There is also a bus stop within a minutes walk of the house, to explore the island at ease.

The house is perfect for families, perfect for friends, perfect for gatherings, perfect for exploring and perfect for romantic mini breaks. Perhaps after a busy day out, walk down to the seafront and relax and unwind on a bench, whilst the sun sets over the Solent. This holiday home has it all.

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings to Lymington. Yarmouth’s narrow streets are home to an attractive array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry viii’s castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling (and a cycle hire shop) and walking to be had along the coastal path. Why not take an energetic stroll at the nearby Tennyson Down and Headon Warren. Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, with Colwell Bay with its sandy beach and amenities for the family 7 minutes away by car. Yarmouth's pier and sailing club jetty is another good spot for crabbing. Four miles away is Compton Bay, famous for dinosaur remains; head there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.
