"Amazing stay in the treehouse, absolutely loved it. It was so peaceful, it was a really romantic break. Log burners, hot tubs, night sky, beach walks and seeing all the red squirrels was fantastic. Will definitely return The treehouse could be a little more secluded as we had people walking down the path or maybe the path cut off as they could walk right in to the hot tub area."
"I am very pleased with our stay, would be nice to include a covering over the area where the hot tub is to protect from rain if possible in the future. We was very impressed with how secluded it was and also the amount of woodland creatures e.g. Red squirrels was around. Also it was so peaceful at night was unable to hear anything when looking at the stars in the hot tub. Would definitely stay again possibly in the other tree house if it is available as it is closer to the sea. As we had issues with facilities in the tree house I was very impressed with the quick response of the maintenance team to fix and communicate with us after it was sorted out."
"Perfect break in cosy accommodation in beautiful woodland surroundings. No oven in tree house."
"Treehouse was lovely. Hot tub broke but staff were amazing and fixed it immediately. My only criticism is the bed smelt musty/damp and although the staff were very quick at getting the bed linen and duvet changed, the smell was still there. Other than that an absolutely treat to stay there. We loved its calm and tranquil surroundings."
"Just perfect"
"ConsThere was black mould growing in the shower, extracted fans didn’t work so the fire alarm went off whenever we cooked, mattress was lumpy, sink doesnt drain properly, hot tub came with no instructions (only rules) so couldn’t work out how to use it. Check out was at 9am with no option for a late checkout.ProsTreehouse came with nice little touches and freebies like luxury hot chocolate and red squirrel feed. The treehouse itself looked beautiful and very insulated but not as secluded as it looked in the pictures (stayed in brighstone). Tree house came with a parking space out front so was easy with unpacking. Hot tub was very clean and well looked after - checked on every morning. Interiors was very pretty and had everything you need. Would stay again in the summertime."
"We booked the treehouse for our honeymoon, it was a brilliant stay from start to finish, the team had left a card, flowers and treats for us to enjoy. The hot tub was ready for us to get in. The treehouse looked beautiful and very welcoming. If we are being picky there were a few cobwebs in the ceiling of the shower room and around the lights in the main living area, but the main areas were very clean. And we had a lovely stay."
"Stunning Weather really made this break, the Treehouse is amazing, some fixtures do need attention, but overall we would definitely revisit. The reception staff were very helpful"
"Would highly recommend"
"The treehouse was magnificent, just what we wanted. Quiet, in wonderful surroundings, well equiped and clean. yes, the bed is high but it was no problem for us. The hot tub was clean and warm and oefect to reurn to after a long days walking"
"Lovely few days away, site was extremely well maintained, staff very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure stay was memorable."
"On the expensive side, but still good value for money."
"Lovely lovely tree house. Only thing is, the lights by the hot tub and stairs didn’t work. In the bathroom we found an old contact lens by the sink. We would go again though."
"Boiler was a little noisy, but no other faults! Great treehouse!"
"Beautiful lodge, beautiful surroundings & very attentive staff. Even though the onsite restaurant was closed due to covid 19 restrictions they did offer a delivery service from their restaurant to your lodge."
"What a beautiful place. We stayed in Firestone Tree House. It was immaculate, the hot tub was ready when we arrived. All the little touches, toiletries, dressing gowns, big fluffy towels and a bottle of prosecco were a pleasant addition. I can not fault it in any way and will definitely be re-visiting."
"Perfect romantic holiday, would recommend to anyone, best holiday ever for my wife and I!!!"
"Relaxing location, lovely accommodation. Resolution of a few smaller points would have justified the very high price tag."
"Overall, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend to friends and family. In fact because of my Instagram posts, 3 friends have booked for future dates and many more requested the link from me to look for themselves."
"We loved our holiday at the treehouse. It was everything we expected and more. A beautiful secluded location and everything we needed was there! Very comfy and relaxing inside!"
"We stayed in the fire stone treehouse. It is very nice for a couple to stay in. When we walked in we were hit by a strong smell of curry, very inconsiderate of the previous couple to cook such strong smelling food, but seems like no air fresheners were used or doors and windows left open to air the place out when the cleaners were in. The place was clean overall but the bathroom could do with a bit of a deep clean and new sealant in the shower as this is very mouldy. Water in the shower only got to lukewarm. The bed is very high, so be warying of this if you have any mobility problems. No instructions were left for the log fire, no kindling was left in the kindling pot and barely any fire starters were left, but you had loads of logs. Seems like the log fire is more for show and they don't want you to actually use it."
"10/10 would do again. Absolutely serene and fabulous."
"The Woodside bay treehouse was fantastic but small things could have been better."
"Very nice holiday relaxing and will return"
"Will not be returning ."
"Stayed at the Brighstone Treehouse for 4 nights. It was massively overpriced for what it was. Should have been half the price. Not romantic and secluded as described. Overlooked by numerous lodges. Level of cleaning was poor. Black mould in shower that I had to clean myself. Generally a disappointing stay given the price paid."
"The location was perfect easy to get to right next to the ferrie. But my I did not like a blind was not even put up it look like it had been ripped off the wall and chucked on the floor. The vent for the kitchen was taken off and was left off on the kitchen side and there was a wire coming through it from out side witch made a draft in the room. Also the shower didnt even look like it had been cleaned."
"Losses and breakages where not replenished, 11tea spoons, 1 dessert spoon, 3 knifes, 3 glass flutes, 1 tall tumbler. (for 2 people)Hand rails had to be reported as they where unsafe, hot tub was reported as is was dirty on arrival, staircase was dangerous at night as you where blinded by the LED light that shone up, not along the stair treads.Shower left a lot to be desired regarding cleanliness. These are expensive for a week, I was and should have expected perfection, sadly it was not perfect but we still had a good time. A little more attention to detail is required."
"Great great great and just more great really"
"As u turn right at the end of the lane and follow the road there is a pub in the left and the food was brilliant"
"Some attention to detail needs to be restored .. a few items missing, broken or defective .... high and low level cleaning needs to be addressed - but if a Shame as we love the treehouses ..."
"We had a perfect holiday and loved every minute of it! We will be back!"
"Amazing design and location. Be careful of getting too hot when the log burner is on! A bit bigger table and chairs would be ideal in there. Plus, we had a problem with the hot tub, but reception were very good in giving us an alternative that we could use."
"Amazing! No faults, it was perfect."
"Loved the treehouse, didn't love that as soon as the log burner door was opened the smoke alarm went off! Also not a fan of being blinded by the lights on the steps when going down to the hot tub, nearly missed a step on several occasions!"
"Build quality of this accommodation is excellent and we would come again but, considering price, the attention to small details was disappointing. We were in the Tree House for just two and a half days in October and surface leaves were expected. However, the outside seating had rotting leaves under the cushions which had not been cleaned for months. Lice were in abundance. The outside deck lighting also didn't work. No on/off switch was evident and upon investigation the 'tripped' MCB was due to a junction box half full of water. I would suggest that no HSE review had been carried out on this installation. Dust on surfaces was also evident. The Tree House is for 2 people but only 1 coffee cup and 1 wine glass was present. The log fire also didn't work due to faulty draft lever. As stated, most of these issues are easily corrected at little expense. Assuming this is done, it is one of the best and unusual places to stay."
"We enjoyed our stay but it was not without its concerns. We arrived early and happy to wait for our accommodation to be prepared. We ordered a cup of tea and a Latte. 30 mins later my partner had to return to the counter to ask why, when there were 3 members of staff standing talking to each other were we still waiting for our drinks. They arrive a few minutes later. There was no food on offer as the kitchen was closed due to staff shortage. There were two flutes (glasses) in our treehouse, both were absolutely filthy and one was cracked. The underside of the metal stools had not been dusted for months and the veranda had not been swept for weeks. We understand that you are under the trees but sweeping the deck should be part of the daily routine. We were disappointed by this.On the up side, the staff arranged for a fan to be in the room for me and made sure we were informed as soon as the treehouse became available. We also enjoyed the spa facilities. XWe feel that we were definitely victim of being 'off season' arriving just after the school holiday rush. Everything felt tired."
