Snaptrip says

Fisherman's Cottage is praised for its stunning views and prime location, ideal for beach access and coastal walks. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and proximity to local attractions. While compact, the cottage is seen as cosy and well-suited for couples, though some find the space and furnishings basic. The absence of a welcome pack is noted, and the conservatory's comfort is season-dependent.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews indicate a general satisfaction with cleanliness, but there are mentions of the property being 'grubby' upon arrival, requiring additional cleaning by guests. This suggests room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its sea views, proximity to the beach, and local attractions like Ventnor Botanic Gardens. It is described as peaceful and perfect for exploring the Isle of Wight.

The cottage is often described as cosy and perfect for couples, but there are concerns about the comfort of the furniture, particularly the conservatory seating and the bed. The bathroom size is also noted as a discomfort for some guests.

Facilities are seen as adequate but some guests experienced issues with the games room availability, the shower, and the conservatory's temperature control. The kitchen is equipped for basic needs, but the lack of space for food preparation is mentioned.

There is no consistent mention of welcome packs or gifts to accurately assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts. While one review notes the absence of a welcome pack, it is not a recurring theme across the reviews.

My stay was comfortable and convenient for all the local amenities. A beautiful location, stunning views of the undercliff, and across the coastline. Great value for money. Couple of observations hence the 'good' feedback: 1. The shower cubicle leaked a little 2. The mirror I banged my head on and it fell off (in the bedroom) 3. The bed rocks a little. It may need attention. But more importantly, the owners are quick to react to any issues with a no nonsense approach. The property is great value, cosy, uniquely located gem. A short 25 minute walk into town past the Botanic garden on the coastal path, grab a drink and food at the Spyglass Inn, walk along the beach, then its full relaxation back at the Fisherman's cottage and beautiful surroundings. I would definitely return using their other Lobsterpot or Beachcomers accommodation. Next time with the whole family. I am sure my parents and my son would love it here.

Wonderful to hear the waves. So close to the beautiful Steephill Cove and secluded beaches. Great coastal walks straight from the cottage. Lots of fun playing table tennis and table football.

The location was ideal but directions could contain some distances.
