Internally, the property is furnished to a very high standard throughout and offers a contemporary open plan kitchen/living/dining area. Externally, the furnished, decked balcony is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views out to sea. The property also offers two off-street parking spaces.
Located in Luccombe village, the property is conveniently positioned for access to Shanklin beach and has easy access to a coastal path. The property is a short drive from the attractive resort centre of Shanklin. Here, the seafront is the focal point and features several eating establishments and pubs. The town is famed for its good weather, safe sandy beach and the picturesque Old Village.

I had an amazing holiday the apartment was lovely and very well equipped, and although its not a huge apartment it is very well planned out. The balcony was a bonus and the views from it spectacular the communal gardens are nice too.

The two apartments we have stayed in the past year have both been excellent and the property is located in a good area. You will need a car unless you intend to ramble (there are some fantastic walks on the IOW and in the Shanklin area) or use the excellent bus and taxi services. We both needed some quiet away from the racket of Gatwick Airport and we got just that. There is something for everyone except loud, noisy parties. Although I am sure one could find something in another IOW town if one wanted to. The other residents were very quiet and pleasant. The next time we go I look forward to sitting on the balcony overlooking the bay at Shanklin and having a glass of wine and some self prepared food. Or perhaps we will walk down the coastal steps to the Fisherman's cottage or Chine Inn for a meal. Simple pleasures. FYI: On the way there and back we got on an earlier Ferry than we booked by arriving a few minutes earlier. Thanks Blue Chip and thanks Isle of Wight for a great break.

The apartment we stayed in at The Priory, Shanklin was very well appointed throughout; it was comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated; but more than this it offered just fantastic views out over Sandown Bay across to Culver Cliff: at night it was spectacular. Situated high above the sea, just out of town on the Luccombe Road, it was sufficiently out of the way to be peaceful and quite, but at the same time close enough for the restaurants and pubs of the Old Village and the seafront all to be within easy walking distance; and of course the Coastal Path and the downs are all on the doorstep. My wife and I have been coming to the Isle of Wight for going on twenty years now and this was definitely one of the better places we've stayed at. The only qualm I have about writing this review is that if too many people get to know about The Priory as a result we may not get look-in when we come to re-book.
