"Byeways was located in a quiet location but within a very short distance of local amenities. The bungalow was spacious and well equipped and had included many thoughtful touches. I would recommend this property for either a family or two couples as having two bathrooms worked really well."

"Spacious cottage with lovely gardens, comfortable stay, cleaning was not to our standard, but minor issue, solved with a quick Hoover and wipe over! Nice quiet area! Had a great stay"
    Alan
"This was a spacious property in a pleasant residential area, with local village shop(s) and pub. There was also a dishwasher and dishwasher tablets were in the cupboard. The kitchen was well equipped and there was washing up liquid etc. However, the hob/cooker hood and oven needed cleaning. I did clean the hob and cooker hood, but draw a line at cleaning the oven! The whole property could do with decorating and a really good clean."

"This is a delightful bungalow in a lovely location with shops, P.O., Hairdresser, Pub, Restaurant, Café, Bus Service, Church and some beautiful countryside to explore all within walking distance. It is very well-maintained, clean and well-equipped. The caretakers are very kind and thoughtful. The locals are very friendly too. My ideal retirement bungalow!!"

"Great stay on the Isle of Wight. Byeways was a spacious bungalow which was well equipped. Furnishings were comfortable and it was good to have a broadband connection! Useful to have a washer and separate tumble dryer. Byeways was in a lovely village - a really good village shop was just a couple of minutes walk away which had lots of local produce. "

"Our third visit to this lovely bungalow, a real treasure of a holiday hideaway in a perfect little village, perfectly situated for everything you would want to do on the Isle of Wight. Everything is always to a high standard and we look forward to our next visit."
    Angus
"Peaceful, quiet location. Lovely village with good amenities. Well equiped bungalow overall. Clean enough but windows were dirty and cooker hood/filters very greasy/dirty. Shower in main bathroom very weak/hopeless. Garden obviously was once very nice, but could do with a bit of tlc. "
    Jude
"A lovely peaceful location. Well equipt bungalow. Quite dated with old fittings e.g. very slow shower, noisy pull light switches. Clean enough but dust and stains in some places. Good as a travel base with reliable wifi. "

"Byeways was perfect for our needs, extremely comfortable and it exceeded our expectations. Everything we could want was there from a tumble drier to fresh milk when we arrived. The Post Office, Village store and pub are a short walk away and the ambience of the surroundings is very friendly. We enjoyed our week very much! June 2012."

"Lovely bungalow in pretty village with good shop, pub and restaurant. Quiet area of the Isle of Wight with lovely walks from the bungalow. The cost for the Easter Holiday week did seem rather high in comparison to other weeks. April 2012."
    Previous guest
"On arrival was a box of chocolates and a newspaper which was thoughtful. The property was clean and homely. The garden was secure enough for young children. Two of the three bedrooms had their own television, plus a third one in the lounge. Many wonderful beaches nearby, and also many pubs suitable for meals. March 2012."
